“Dry skin is much less common than oily, normal and combination skin. It is characterized by narrow pores (even in the T-zone), early manifestation of wrinkles - especially in the periorbital region, lack of oily sheen, peeling, sensitivity to sunlight. In winter, dry skin needs special care and additional moisture, not only external but also internal. After 30, everyone's skin approaches a dry type - this is normal. Due to unfavorable environmental conditions, improper care, insufficient intake of water into the body, it can begin to peel off earlier. I'll tell you what ingredients to look for on packs of masks for the care of dry skin."

Natural oils

It is a myth that moisturizers cannot be used in winter because of their high water content. Any cream contains water, and it does not turn into any ice in the pores - water quickly acquires the required temperature. Indeed, in winter, the skin becomes drier due to the heating season, wind, and low temperatures. In the evening, choose more intense moisturizers with good nutritional properties, in the afternoon - with protective ones.

All moisturizing components are divided into two groups: substances that slow down the evaporation of moisture, and substances that attract it. Many masks have both components. In winter, give preference to those that slow down the evaporation of water: these can be vitamin E, shea butter, avocado oil.

Avoid paraffin and petroleum jelly in the composition - if they are abused, the skin ceases to retain moisture on its own and restore the lipid barrier.

Aloe vera

The formulas of the masks are quite concentrated, due to which a quick effect is achieved. They can be used as an express remedy for recovery before some important event.

Aloe juice is a great ingredient in dry skin products. This plant has excellent moisturizing properties due to the allantoin included in the composition. Aloe has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, helps to restore the structure of the skin, promotes cell regeneration, heals microcracks and wounds.

ANA acids

Alpha hydroxy acids have been used in cosmetology for over twenty years. At first, they were only used in dermatology to treat eczema, acne and other skin conditions. Over time, alpha hydroxy acids were adopted by cosmetology. But you need to use them with extreme caution.

Alpha hydroxy acids eliminate the stratum corneum, prevent the appearance of fine wrinkles, and help lighten age spots.

Their main function is exfoliating. Therefore, masks with fruit acids should be used when it is necessary to remove the stratum corneum. Often they should not be used - they can provoke even greater dryness. Look for lactic acid in the composition.

Thermal water

Thermal water has not only refreshing properties, it saturates the skin with valuable minerals, protects against aggressive environmental influences, helps to remove inflammation and prolong the durability of makeup. For owners of dry and sensitive skin, isotonic water is suitable. She has a neutral acidity level - it moisturizes well, relieves irritation, eliminates redness.

Look for masks with isotonic water, chamomile extract and vitamin B3 in the composition - an excellent "anti-stress" for the face. I recommend using pure thermal water in dry and air-conditioned rooms. But do not apply it less than 15 minutes before going outside.

Ceramides

Ceramides are an expensive ingredient. It is a fatty acid-based biologically active substance. Ceramides help to restore the lipid barrier, allow you to get rid of the feeling of tightness, protect against moisture loss and premature wrinkles.

There are many excellent oxygen masks today. They moisturize and restore well. Look for them at the Beauty Style brand.
