Versatility is one of the main trends this year. Brands produce collections that can be worn by both men and women, cosmetic companies create multifunctional products suitable for lip, eye and cheekbone makeup (like Gucci, for example). The Italian fashion house Missoni showed at the show in Milan how it can be used in life. Irina Shayk, Bella and Gigi Hadid, Karolina Kurkova presented a new line of clothing. A riot of colors, geometric prints and patchwork techniques were diluted with makeup done with a pencil of the same color.
Makeup artist Lindsay Alexander, who worked on the images of top models, collaborates with actress Emilia Clarke, Calvin Klein and Christopher Kane, loves arrows and complex facial drawings. But this time she chose minimalism. Dense tone, soft gel-set eyebrows, lightly tinted eyelashes are the foundation. As an accent, she chose a single tone for all makeup - a brick color. Instead of eyeshadow, lipstick and blush, Lindsay used a multifunctional gloss in MAC's Patentpolish Lip Pencil. It provides gentle application and precise coverage, moisturizes the skin for a calm glow.
In order not to look tear-stained, Lindsay advises to apply the product twice on the lips, without going beyond the contour, but in the eye area, the product should be properly shaded. You can add some foundation on the lower eyelids to gradually fade the color.
For those who love experimentation, the make-up artist offers custom arrows. Important: they should not reach the "tail" of the eyebrow.
The cheekbones should also be emphasized with one stroke of the stick. It should be well shaded and almost invisible. The main thing here is that all makeup is in the same range. For brunettes with a bright appearance, Lindsay recommends brighter shades, and for fair-skinned girls, a warmer and more watercolor palette.
