Kate Beckinsale is 47 on July 26, and her body is still the envy of any 20-year-old fitness trainer. How the actress manages to look the way she looks now, learned from her recent interview with Women's Health. Spoiler alert: not everything is as simple as it seems!

First of all, Beckinsale admitted that she is obsessed with her figure: it is important to her how she looks, so she monitors what she eats and never skips workouts. The actress has long given up caffeine and alcohol, and sports on her schedule are six days a week. And no event in her life will change her schedule, seizing problems with sweets and staying at home is definitely not in Kate's character.

“I am very attached to my body, so I prefer to experience stress physically. It is better to do another exercise to get rid of some weight. At this point, I imagine myself as a horse while running around the paddock,”Beckinsale said.

Nutrition

Before her workout, Kate usually eats chicken or eggs flavored with herbal oil, and after sports, her menu includes vegetable salads, Brussels sprouts and salmon. Only a handful of potato chips can be an exception to the diet.

Sport

Kate is engaged in sports with a personal trainer. First, they do eight complex exercises to work out several muscles at once, then do cardio for 80 to 120 seconds on a machine (for example, one that simulates rowing, or on a counter-directional VersaClimber ladder). And then again a set of eight exercises, but with heavier weights and faster reps. The workout lasts 45 minutes and ends with a curved SkillMill treadmill or a wave arm exercise with a fitness band.

Also recently, Beckinsale became interested in fitness on a trampoline. According to her, this type of training has a very good effect on the body, and also energizes.

It happens that on trips the actress cannot afford to go to the gym, then she does yoga. By the way, thanks to yoga, Kate has excellent stretching, which helps her in her work: especially during the filming of action films.

Personal life

Equally important for beauty, according to the actress, is to be in love. In another interview with the publication, she commented on her romances with guys who are a little older than her daughter: 22-year-old musician Goody Grace and 26-year-old comedian Pete Davidson. In a conversation, Kate noted that age is not a problem for her, much more important is to enjoy life.

“It's practically a political act to be a woman over 32 and enjoy life. And by that I mean ordinary entertainment, not drinking or partying. I am definitely not interested in this. It's like I have to sit at home, crochet and wait for menopause. The rest is too risky. I constantly watch men do what they love: whether it's a relationship, a decision to buy a new bike, or get a tattoo.
