The product consists of the following components: gel paint, oxidizer, cream oil and tonic. Let's break down each one.
Gel paintis a creamy base with special pigments (not to be confused with pigments in decorative cosmetics). It is quite classic: it consists of a component that will give structure to the agent (Cetearyl Alcohol), and a large number of emulsifiers (Laureth-2, Ceteareth-20, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Polysorbate 20), which will stabilize the system, additionally give it has a dense creamy structure and "strength" (during mixing with an oxidizing agent, the stability of the emulsion is quite aggressive in terms of colloidal chemistry, plus coloring products - in themselves a specific niche in matters of stabilization). Also in the composition there is a component that will help to fix the pigment in the hair structure - Ethoxydiglycol. The next component will create an alkaline environment in the product, this is necessary in order to "open" the hair scales for better penetration of the pigment - Ethanolamine. This is where the "minus" of all coloring agents lies: the alkaline environment for our skin is atypical and quite aggressive, therefore, when in contact with the skin, coloring agents often cause allergies in varying degrees of manifestation - from mild itching to severe burning and redness. Hydroxyethyl Urea will help create an alkaline pH level and will also be a good moisturizer for the skin. Sodium Hydroxide and Lactic Acid are included to regulate the desired pH level. The composition contains two pigments P-phenylenediamine and 4-amino-m-cresol: these are permanent coloring pigments, they have a low molecular weight, due to which they are able to penetrate through the hair cuticle. The composition also includes Sodium Metabisulfite and Sodium Erythorbate - they will act as preservatives and antioxidants. It also contains the soothing ingredient Allantoin, Hydrolyzed Silk Protein, Argan Oil and Aloe Vera Extract (Allantoin, Hydrolized Silk Protein, Argania spinosa Kernel Oil and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract). Based on the composition, allantoin will do the work here, and everything else is given more to support the marketing idea, however, the active component is not the most important thing in coloring rinses.Argania spinosa Kernel Oil and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract). The oxidizing agent has the same creamy base as the gel paint: the same component for the structure (Cetearyl Alcohol) and the same emulsifiers (Laureth-2, Ceteareth-20, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Polysorbate 20). This entire system must "withstand" the hydrogen peroxide (Hydrogen Peroxide), which will trigger the reaction when mixed with gel paint. Phosphoric Acid is used to adjust the pH.
Argan oil cream is a mixture of mineral, castor, argan, petroleum jelly, rosemary extract and perfume (Petrolatum, Castor oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Paraffin, Rosmarinus Officinalis Extract, Parfum). Such an oil composition will allow it to perform the declared function - to protect the skin around the eyebrows from staining. Petroleum jelly and mineral oil will create a film that prevents pigments from reaching the skin. This is a nice bonus from the manufacturer (of course, it can be replaced with any other cream).
The toner consists of a solvent (Isopropyl Alcohol), emulsifiers (PEG-40 and Polysorbate 20), which will help to remove residues from the eyebrow. Ethoxydiglycol, which is in the gel paint, will additionally help to fix the pigment. Sorbitol will act as a moisturizer. And, of course, a perfume (Parfum), which is not followed by a list of allergens (perhaps the perfume is hypoallergenic, or at a given% input, the manufacturer may not put allergens on the label). There are no preservatives in the composition: this suggests that there is a lot of Isopropyl Alcohol in the tonic, which has become a replacement for ethyl alcohol (a license is required to use ethyl alcohol, which many manufacturers do not have). On the one hand, this component can dry out or irritate the skin,on the other hand, it allows you not to add preservatives and has a disinfecting effect on the skin.
Total: this kit is a classic coloring combination: paint + oxidizer.
For a good effect, the product must have an alkaline pH level, this gives it a completely irritating effect and can provoke allergic reactions. It's nice that the manufacturer took into account some of the little things: in the kit you can find "oil" to apply to the skin around and not stain it, as well as a tonic to remove excess paint and fix the result (thanks to Ethoxydiglycol).
But it is difficult to judge the effectiveness of coloring the product by its composition.
