We continue our series of materials on distance learning in Russia. Following the link, blogger Katya Dolgorukova told how the educational process at the school of her eight-year-old daughter is organized. In a new article, two more mothers share their experiences, and a primary school teacher explains how to help a child adapt to a new reality.

My sons Herman and Robert are in the 6th grade of a school with an English education system. All training now takes place in Zoom and the Seesaw app. Their class is divided into three groups. Each group once a day calls up with the teacher for 30 minutes, they discuss general tasks, sometimes play entertaining quests. Once a week, each child has a one-on-one Zoom call with a teacher. Parents communicate separately with teachers at Seesaw.
Children at school have used the Google Classroom platform and tablets to study in the past, but now they are doing it more actively. In Google Classroom, teachers post assignments on a daily basis, children complete them, take pictures and send them to teachers - there is always feedback.
Children are not tied to timing, they can do tasks at any time, the main thing is not to miss calls and have time to send homework before 16:00.
Herman and Robert do well in this mode, in general, and I am very impressed with it. Many parents say that they spend all their days studying - we don't have that. It took some time to set up all the programs and communication, but when everything was sorted out, it became quite easy. We have entered the regime and we feel comfortable. The school quickly reorganized to the new system.
Now we have a vacation, and after that they promise innovations in the educational process - the children will be engaged as they used to: in the morning, with virtual calls and lessons on a schedule. That is, there will be a full day at school, but with an iPad.
The youngest daughter Miroslava (she is 3 years old) also studies Zoom with teachers from the kindergarten. They have English, exercise, creativity, rhythm. You can connect to the lessons that you like.

My children tolerate isolation well. After the cancellation of classes, senior Andre was even happy: "Hey, you can not go to school!" But after a couple of weeks I started to miss my friends. At home, he mainly works with his dad, as he studies at a French school - all training takes place in a foreign language. I take on Russian and sometimes math. I would like to ask all parents who study at home with their children not to feel guilty: everyone breaks down or runs into a dead end when they do not know how to explain the material to the child. We are not teachers.
Every morning André studies on his own every morning, does his homework, then he has a skype session with a teacher and three other students. They check their homework, discuss something, even write dictations. This takes 30-40 minutes. After lunch, Andre is already free.
Our youngest son Nicolas's kindergarten group continues to function on WhatsApp. They send us assignments there.
During the day, we do not turn on cartoons for the boys and do not give gadgets. They watch cartoons for 1-1.5 hours on Saturday or Sunday. On weekdays in their free time, they are occupied with Lego constructors, and in principle they play well with each other despite the three-year difference. We also have an awesome dance game on Xbox - perfect for kids, and for parents it's also unbearable cardio.

To begin with, calm down yourself and calm your child. Do not criticize the current situation with online learning in his presence. No one is to blame for what happened. Support the children with your example of calmness and passion. Tell them the reasons for the change in lifestyle. You can use the following hint.
