All of a sudden, hundreds of schools, lecture halls, galleries, and individual specialists have opened access to unique information. Many of the classes are free. How can one resist here and not sign up for a “drama club, a photo circle, a khorukhok” - as in the famous poem. And we are worried that we cannot "digest" everything we want.
Bad news: human memory is arranged in such a way that we remember only 10% of the material read, we absorb about 5% of the total volume of the lecture we listened to. And it is believed that memory deteriorates with age.
But the good news is that this isn't entirely true: it's all about training. Nelly Sargsyan, a psychologist at the family center of the SAO, tells how to improve memory while you are at home.
Memory is the ability of the nervous system to perceive, store information and retrieve it when it is necessary to solve various problems. Thanks to this complex and important function of the brain, we can accumulate experience and use it in the future.

The main "entry points" of information for a person are visual, auditory, tactile, gustatory and olfactory. After the process of perception, the material is assimilated in our brain. There are four main psychotypes of a person and their characteristic types of information perception:
Visual. It is characterized by words and expressions that are associated with visual actions: I discovered, I paid attention, it seems to me that I did not notice, it was bright and magical.
Audial. He mainly uses auditory phrases: what are you talking about, I don't understand, I heard, glad to hear from you, the idea sounds tempting.
Kinesthet. He is characterized by tactility and emotionality, which is expressed through the following phrases: I can’t stand it, it’s very pleasant, goosebumps, such a warming sun, it was a strong emotion. Non-verbal signs are very indicative for this category: facial expressions and gestures convey a person's emotions.
Digital. They attach particular importance to logic and communication. A specific set of words is not typical for them. Digitalists tend to ask: what is the point, I cannot understand how it is connected, it is desirable to structure everything, it needs to be adjusted.

But, unfortunately, in our informational time, there are few people who are interested in poetry and are able to quote even the classics. But it is well known that when memorizing poems, the brain is synchronized with the authors' way of thinking, as a result the vocabulary expands, the culture of speech develops
Replay the chain of events of the past day in your head every day (the Pythagorean method). Recall in your memory what time you woke up, what mood you were in, how you had breakfast, what thought came to you at that time, etc. It is important to remember in every detail in order to feel the same emotions and feelings that accompanied the day's events. You should also evaluate your actions by asking the following questions:
- What have I done today? - What is planned but not done? - What actions deserve condemnation?
- What can you praise yourself for?
