Stylist Katya Gusse @katya_gousset told BeautyHack which products are suitable for sensitive problem skin and which beauty products to bring from abroad.
I am a cosmetic minimalist - I have 3 favorite brands: Armani, NARS and Bobby Brown. When doing makeup, I first apply the care products and base. For areas with rosacea - Erborian CC Correct, for nose and forehead - Benefit Porefessional, a mattifying base that visually tightens pores and is ideal for a go-out make-up.
I love light foundation. The Clé de Peau Radiant Stick Foundation is perfect for glowing skin. For evening make-up - NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer.
I also use Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter translucent cream as a tone - I specially order it from abroad. I put it on the central triangle - forehead, cheekbones, nose, chin, to create a beautiful visual effect I take a lighter (than my main) tone.
Another cool tool is the Armani High Precision Retouch. A good product with a small brush that is convenient for removing imperfections. Since I love contouring, I often use Bobby Brown bronzer after tone.
I like the highlighter from NARS in Capri color. I apply it on the cheekbones, the upper part of the nose, the area above the upper lip, sometimes (instead of shadows) on the eyelids. For eye makeup I use the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay, it works well for smoky eyes and arrows. I love the Ink line eyeliner from Make up for ever. Super thing! Holds for a long time and does not crumble.
Base under eyeshadow - Eyeshadow Primer Potion from Urban decay has the perfect hold. If you want to add color, I use Armani liquid eyeshadow and Make up for ever pencil in bright blue. Perfect for fancy makeup!
I always have two eyebrow pencils in my makeup bag: Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-wear Brow Pencil in Mahogany and Tom Ford.
I also always carry with me a compact concealer from L'Oréal - it covers everything perfectly! Sometimes I take a cushion from NARS or Dior (Dream Skin) and compact powders of different colors from Estee Lauder and Clinique. Do not forget Sensai matting wipes at home.
Another great product is Jill Stuart loose powder, which my husband brought to me from Japan. It is colorless, lays thin and completes makeup well. Coola Make up setting spray with SPF 30 is also suitable for this (I apply it on top and distribute with a beauty tool).
The beauty routine depends on the season. If the set remains the same (washing, tonic, serum and cream), then the products themselves change. For example, now I wash my face with Lancôme Confort Cream Mousse. This line is intended for owners of sensitive and problem skin.
Barbara Sturm Calming Serum is suitable for cheeks and cheekbones, while Lancôme Absolue is for all other areas. Then comes Lancôme Hydra Zen cream, it moisturizes and soothes, it is also suitable for makeup: the skin does not shine, does not shrink, does not become covered with a film. In the period of exacerbation of rosacea for the cheekbones and cheeks I use Avene cream.
I do not divide funds into daytime and evening ones, I use the same ones, only sometimes I add night masks. I have three favorites among the latter: Anne Semonin Masque Creme, Erborian Sleeping BB Mask and Avene Anti-rougeurs Calm Masque. The latter copes well with redness and unevenness in tone. Before an important event, before makeup, I can apply the Valmont Prime Renewing Pack mask.
I recently got hooked on La Mer concentrate! People around me notice that my skin looks much better after it. I apply it to individual areas or, mixed with serum, all over the face to nourish the skin.
Erborian Bamboo Matte Cream is well suited for rest in warm countries - it perfectly mattes the skin.
Due to increased sensitivity, my skin does not tolerate peels and scrubs. Occasionally I use Korean Pilling Bean (I apply it to all areas except cheeks and cheekbones).
In the fight against rashes and fine wrinkles, retinol products help me. I prefer Retinol 0.3 from Skinceuticals and apply it pointwise to problem areas.
For my lips I love La Mer non-greasy moisturizing balm, I put lipsticks and tints on top.
My favorite hair care brand is Christophe Robin. Almost all of his means are suitable for me. After Shampoo Clarifying a la Camomile and Cornflower shampoo (for hair cleansing and light lightening), the head remains clean for two days. Before shampooing or dyeing, I use lavender oil to moisturize and nourish: I immerse it in warm water (so that it becomes liquid), apply it to my hair and collect it in a bun overnight. I wash it off in the morning. The cleansing scrub with sea salt lathers well and refreshes the scalp, and among the masks I choose lemon, which works like a shampoo.
I love the Sachajuan silver conditioner - it removes the yellowness of blonde hair well. For voluminous and textured styling, I use Davines and Alterna Bamboo Beach Curls.
I often use L'Oréal Studio line's finely dispersed Volume max hairspray - it does not stick and fixes hair well. It is not for sale in Moscow, so I bring it from France: there you can find it in any supermarket. I buy 3-4 pieces at once - enough for a long time.
The final styling step is Oribe's texturizer. I apply it full length to give my hair a light grunge, unkempt and voluminous a la Kate Moss.
