Billie Eilish is the star of the 2020 Grammy ceremony! And not only because she received five statuettes, winning in five most important nominations (more about this - here). Her look in the style of Gucci has become one of the most visible on the red carpet: bright and thoughtful to the smallest detail. BeautyHack drew attention to Billy's manicure. Its author - star master - Amy Kudo on Instagram told how the manicure was created: from idea to implementation.
“When you don’t have to ask photographers to take a closer look. They already do it, "- wrote Amy on her Instagram, posting a photo with Billy's manicure. Dressed from head to toe in Gucci, Eilish specifically opted for open-toed gloves to complete the look with nail designs (also featuring the Gucci logo).
Amy said that less than a week before the ceremony, Billy's team confirmed that the singer wanted two capital letters GG on her nails, and chose dark green as the main color. The manicure was done the day before the show, Amy's team worked four hours at Billy's house: "We worked without a meeting, and before that we only corresponded by mail."
The nails themselves were done before we met in person - and this was the most important part of the job when Amy mixed several OPI gel polishes to give the nails the desired shade.
The first layer is OPI's March in Uniform for a darker green.
The second layer is a mix of shades AmazON … AmazOFF and Sun, Sea, and Sand in My Pants, which together give a deep green.
And on the Gucci logo, two more manicurists worked with Amy. The team used a mix of shades: Amy's own neon color and OPI's PUMP Up the Volume. It took 15 minutes to hand-paint each nail.
