Queen Elizabeth II is not fussy about food, but she loves desserts very much. She once opened a job as a personal chef, and among the requirements was the ability to cook chocolate biscuit and chocolate mousse (read more about this news here). Of course, Her Majesty does not eat sweets every day, but when there is a reason why not? So, on the occasion of her birthday on April 21, the Queen ordered chocolate cupcakes to the confectioners, and representatives of Buckingham Palace shared the recipe on social networks.
“If you or your loved one is celebrating a special date during your isolation, why not indulge in some royal baked goods? Don't forget to share your creations with us! " - advised the Queen's representative on Instagram.
By the way, repeating the recipe of Elizabeth II's favorite delicacy is not very difficult, and the ingredients are quite accessible to everyone. Cupcakes, of course, can hardly be called dietary, but sometimes it is useful to relax and think only about pleasure.

- Vinegar - 15 g
- Milk - 300 ml
- Vegetable oil - 50 ml
- Butter (melted and chilled) - 60 g
- Eggs - 2 pcs.
- Vanilla essence - 5 ml
- Wheat flour - 250 g
- Cocoa powder - 75 g
- Sugar - 300 g
- Baking soda - 10 g
- White chocolate - 100 g
For the cream:
- Dark chocolate - 90 g
- Butter - 100 g
- Powdered sugar - 125 g
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 150 ° C.
2. Combine flour, sugar, cocoa and baking soda in a large bowl. Whisk the eggs in a separate bowl, adding vanilla essence, butter, vegetable oil, milk, and vinegar in turn.
3. Gradually add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients. Break up any lumps if they appear. The dough should be smooth. Add white chocolate chopped into small pieces (you can also replace it with nuts or dried fruits).
4. Pour the dough into the cupcake tins with a metal spoon. Bake for 15-18 minutes. When the cupcakes are golden and firm to the touch, you can take them out and leave to cool.
5. Start preparing the cream. Whisk in the butter and sugar until the mixture is fluffy and creamy. Add warm melted chocolate. Use a pastry bag or spoon to apply the cream to the cupcakes.
6. The cream can also be replaced with icing or royal icing. You can buy ready-made icing at a regular supermarket.
