
The old-fashioned phrase “eat breakfast yourself, share your lunch with a friend, and give dinner to the enemy” is no longer just words: scientists from Tel Aviv University have proven that high-calorie breakfast helps to quickly lose weight. We tell the details!

In order to understand exactly how a hearty breakfast solves the problem of overweight, researchers from Tel Aviv University invited volunteers and divided them into two groups. The first was to follow the classic diet of eating small meals six times a day, and the second was to eat heavy in the morning, eat in moderation at lunch, and make sure that dinner was very light. During the experiment, doctors monitored not only the weight of the subjects, but also their blood sugar levels.
After three months, patients from the first group lost only 1.4 kilograms, while the second group managed to get rid of 5 extra kilograms. Volunteers from the second group also noted that the feeling of hunger and cravings for carbohydrates were much weaker than usual, and the glucose level dropped significantly already on the 14th day of the experiment.
A high-calorie breakfast in itself has a positive effect on blood sugar - it decreases, and therefore, it becomes easier to lose weight.
