On April 6, distance learning started at schools and universities in Russia. But some educational institutions started the remote work system before the official decision. The BeautyHack editors asked the popular mom and blogger Katya Dolgorukova (@dolgorukova) how her eight-year-old daughter Sasha has been online for two weeks.

Where does Sasha study?
Sasha goes to school # 1570 in Moscow. I would like to say a special thank you to the school director Ella Mairbekovna Alibekova and my daughter's class teacher, Olga Viktorovna Makeeva, for allowing parents to test the mechanics of distance learning in advance and organized a test educational process in an emergency. And the parents understood how it works, and the children were busy.
Since when has distance learning been organized at the school?
In our school, distance learning has been offered to parents since March 16. Officially, we could choose: take the child to school or master the program at home. Personally, I took Sasha to classes, but some parents took advantage of the offer to study from home.
Since March 23rd we have had a vacation. But since March 30, when they announced a "day off" week, and the children have already begun to slowly miss school, the management has organized an optional, but very entertaining educational process.
How is the training going?
All lessons are held on the Zoom platform. Video conferencing is organized very competently: the teacher can turn off the microphones for all children so that they do not make noise, and explain the material. On a weekend, for example, our teacher organized an absolutely amazing excursion class around the Moscow Zoo. I found a video with a virtual tour of the zoo, in the conference mode I turned it on for children, periodically paused it, asked questions, and asked to write down some information. After the conference, the children were asked to draw an animal they liked and write a story about it. In my opinion, the teacher's approach in this situation commands great respect.
How much time does Sasha spend studying a day?
On weekends, Sasha studied 3-4 hours a day - that's four conferences at Zoom. Distance learning officially began on April 6 - the workload has increased. On average, this is five lessons a day of 45 minutes. Plus, homework. I want to note that only thanks to the test week, which was organized by the school leadership, now neither parents nor children are shocked by what is happening. We were ready for this. We were shown and prompted. We have already developed a training system and daily routine.
On the mos.ru platform, in an electronic diary, each parent sees the schedule for the coming week and understands what tasks will be. It is very convenient. Over the weekend, I knew which disciplines Sasha would need to study on her own, and which ones with the help of a teacher in Zoom.

Are you helping her along the way? Are there any homework assignments? How does the rating system work?
All homework is sent directly to the teacher until 6:00 pm every day. No grades are given in the first grade. Personal "calls" with the teacher are not provided - there is no urgent need for this. But if Sasha wants to clarify something, writes Olga Viktorovna in WhatsApp. Itself.
I also try not to interfere with the process of studying, I can suggest something to Sasha or direct her, but I never stand above my soul and I don't do lessons for her. In my opinion, the knowledge that the child received at his own request is much more useful for him.
How do you organize your day based on the fact that your daughter needs to study and needs help with assignments?
When answering the question “How do you organize your daily routine in distance learning?”, Any parent of a student will start laughing nervously. We are all really spinning like squirrels in a wheel - it's very difficult. The traditional school way is good because children are engaged in their studies at a specific time and place. In my opinion, the house was not created for this, so now everyone has to combine a thousand things. During the day, parents are expected to cook, clean, entertain, teach, educate, and love. At the same time, you need to have time to work and earn money.
If you look at the situation from the outside: did the expectation-reality coincide for you in the case of distance learning?
At the beginning of the process, I was very afraid that it would be difficult, everything would infuriate me, but in fact, thanks to the support of the school, I realized that it was not so scary and we could handle it. The main thing now is to accept the situation, be aware and stay at home. I really understand every mother in the country and send rays of support. Let's break through! But what skill we are acquiring. Just imagine!
