Despite the self-isolation regime, there are plenty of reasons to make beautiful makeup. Zoom conferences, Skype meetings and, of course, video sessions. If you have not tested the fashion trend yet, we suggest finding a photographer, reading our material and getting inspired for a b / w photo session. And BeautyHack will tell you how to choose shades and apply products so that they do not turn into gray spots on the face.

No SPF
SPF-factor foundation is a useful thing, but definitely not for a photo shoot. The fact is that filters that reflect the sun's rays also easily reflect the light coming from the flash. The result is an unnecessary sheen that turns you into at least an owner of an oily sheen, at the most into a ghost. If you have a black and white photo session ahead, give up the highlighter for the same reason.

Matte tone
Radiance, wet shine, the effect of yoga skin (what it is, you will find out here) and others like them - leave it all for everyday life. And for a black and white photo shoot, rely on matte makeup - it will make your skin velvety and perfectly even. Arm yourself with a thick foundation and a long-lasting concealer, there is no need for extra shadows and imperfections. And be sure to bring some loose powder with you to minimize shine.

Active contouring
“Forget everything you knew before,” that is, boldly do the contouring: emphasize the cheekbones, visually narrow the nose - apply sculpting agents to the areas that need to be modeled. If you are used to doing this with a bronzer, choose one that is darker than usual, and do not forget about feathering - clear boundaries in black and white photography will be much more noticeable.

No blush
Reds and purples in black and white images turn to dark grays - keep this in mind when using blush. It is better to completely abandon this remedy, so as not to create unnecessary shadows on the face (hardly anyone has them on the "apples" of the cheeks). For a more dramatic effect - sharp cheekbones and sunken cheeks - take the same bronzer and apply to the desired area.

Neutral shades
Set aside your favorite palette with bright colors and perky shimmer - in black and white photographs, their beauty fades in the literal sense of the word. In eye makeup, we also do a kind of contouring - using matte shadows in neutral shades. Accentuate the crease of the moving eyelid with beige shadows, blending the pigment towards the temples for a cat-eye effect.

Bet on graphics
Arrows are the best friend of monochrome makeup for photoshoots, so equip yourself with liquid eyeliner and watch for symmetry. The lines should be perfectly even, clear and saturated, and the product itself should be coal-black and dense, no halftones. If the arrows are wide, a neutral lipstick shade will be an excellent company for them, otherwise the makeup will be too overloaded. This article will help you learn how to draw straight arrows.

The right lipstick
Here, follow the same principle as when choosing a blush - figure out in advance how deep a shade of gray on your lips you need. For example, fuchsia or red can look dull, so choose a light beige nude for a softer make-up and a dark brown for a more dramatic look. By the way, in lip make-up, gloss will only benefit you - it will make them more voluminous.
