I don’t think anyone will judge me, but to be honest, finding time for a series is much easier for me than going in for sports. But, to be completely honest, exercising on a cardio machine while watching your favorite TV series is a separate pleasure. For two and a half months of self-isolation, I have watched so many films and TV series that I am ready to share with you a small list of my recommendations.

Dead to Me
What I love about Netflix is that you get all episodes of the season right away. Therefore, if the series has captured you, then you will not have to wait for the next episode (alas, not the season) to be released. A year ago, I watched the first season of Dead to Me and really hoped for a sequel. The main character (Christina Applegate), sarcastic Jen, has a wonderful family, two sons and a great job. But at one point everything changes - her husband is hit by a car, leaving a man to die on the road. At meetings of people who have experienced grief, she meets the cheerful Judy, who helps her in every way to find the light at the end of the tunnel and return to her usual life. Becoming close friends, Jen learns the terrible truth - all this time Judy knew who was involved in the death of her husband and their acquaintance is not accidental.

Locke & Key
I've heard different names for this series, but more often there are two: "Locke's Keys" and "Lock and Key". It must be watched very carefully, otherwise you risk missing the detail on which the whole plot is built in the future. The series was filmed based on the comics of Joe Hill - Stephen King's son. So get ready for a non-childish horror tale.
Keys are hidden in the mysterious house where the main characters move after the death of the head of the family. Every now and then they call Locke to them. Keys are capable of moving you to any place, igniting everything around, and so on. Bodie, the youngest of the Locke, finds a well on the estate, in which a woman lives. The lady is not easy, and her only task is to take away their legal keys from the Lockes.
The series is dynamic and does not let you get bored. In February, only the first season came out and I really hope that it will be extended. If I was asked what this series is like, I would be confused and answered: "This is Harry Potter + Stranger Things + Lemony Snicket + The Chronicles of Narnia + Astral". Suddenly? Watch and make your assumptions.

Ricky Gervais is the man who gave the world one of the funniest TV series "The Office". He is also a screenwriter, director and actor who starred in the TV series Life After Death. Tony is a man who is trying to cope with the emptiness that formed in his heart after his wife left. Plunging into memories and watching family videos together, he contemplates committing suicide. But every time his plan is thwarted.
Take a closer look at Tony's measured gait - a lot can be considered in it: from hopelessness and the understanding that there is nowhere to go, to the decision to live on without thinking about the consequences. The series has a lot of sarcasm, ridiculous drama and tearful moments.

The Paper House (La Casa De Papel)
I confess that I have never been interested in Spanish serials. And apparently in vain. I watched four seasons of La Casa De Papel in five days. I'm sure many people thought I had a lot of free time, but no - I just don't sleep much.
Briefly about the plot: a team of thieves, not previously familiar with each other, goes to rob the Royal Mint of Spain. The gang members have no names - each is named after a city. The team and the plan are conducted by the Professor, a kind of well-educated intellectual. An ingenious and thoughtful robbery plan will surprise even the most inveterate skeptics. When it seems to you that nothing can save the situation, the Professor makes a knight's move and changes the game in his favor. While watching, I experienced a huge amount of emotions from joy to hatred: to the heroes, the situation and the "plans" of the police.
What attracts this series? First, the characters. Each is disclosed very competently, you empathize with someone, and you want to beat someone with your own hands. My favorite is Berlin. A disciplined, cold character with an excellent sense of style and an absolutely insane look. Secondly, the relationship within the team. Probably not the last place was played by the passionate Spanish character of the heroes. A real palette of human emotions in each episode. And thirdly, each episode ends in such a way that it is impossible not to start watching the next one for at least 10 minutes. In terms of emotions and tension, I would compare "Paper House" with the series "Escape" and "Breaking Bad". When you justify yourself with the words "Well, here's another episode and sleep, honestly." And then you go to bed at three in the morning.
Also, you can hardly resist the urge to download multiple soundtracks. Therefore, I will make it easier for you to find: Cecilia Krull “My Life Is Going On” and Manu Pilas “Bella Ciao”. Personally, I've been humming the last one for a week.

257 reasons to live
This is probably the first Russian TV series that I watch and even look forward to the release of new episodes. I confess that I am not a fan of Russian cinema and am very skeptical about domestic production. But a month ago I turned on “257 reasons to live” against the background and got involved.
The main character Zhenya is struggling with oncology and learns that according to the latest tests, she is in remission. Time to think about getting married, going back to work, and fulfilling your desires (which were recorded in your diary during treatment). But fate decided not to waste time on trifles and threw some more tests on Zhenya: the boyfriend leaves immediately after being discharged from the hospital, the sister is not very happy about her recovery, and in addition, she is hit by a car.
If you like short episodes of 20-25 minutes, comedies and life situations, then the series will appeal to you.
