On November 20, Shanghai hosted one of the most spectacular shows in the world of fashion and beauty - the annual Victoria's Secret show. We will tell you in what images the models appeared, and why the show was on the verge of collapse.
This year's Victoria's Secret show took place in Shanghai. Being one of the most anticipated shows of the year, the show always attracts a lot of attention, and preparations for it take an entire year. But this time, the show almost fell through due to a scandal - several models, including Gigi Hadid, were denied a Chinese visa.
Nevertheless, the show went according to plan - 55 models from 20 different countries paraded the catwalk in 88 new outfits. Part of the collection was created in collaboration with Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing.
Most of the models appeared in the iconic Victoria's Secret look - light "beach" waves and delicate smoky eyes. Makeup artist Tom Peshaux was responsible for the makeup of the "angels" this year - he also worked with models during the last show in Paris. To create the effect of "haze" on the eyes, Tom shaded the arrows along the lash line, and decided to leave his lips neutral. To do this, the makeup artist used matte nude lipstick in Adored by Victoria's Secret, and applied the shades of Perfection or Magnetic as a second layer. To create dramatic waves, the stylists used Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream and hair extensions to add volume to the hair.
The official broadcast is scheduled only for November 28, but the first photos from the show began to appear on the network.
