Running immediately captivates: approving glances from passers-by, time to think, sports photos on Instagram.
Gradually, I increased my distance and speed, along with them my calves and desire to buy all the croissants on the way increased. When I ran my first 10 kilometers, my weight was three kilograms more than at the very beginning. All the runners I know have shared similar stories with me. Why don't we lose weight from running?

You will want to eat even more, this is normal and correct: long distances and running breathing put the body into a stress mode. You will need fast carbs that are incompatible with weight loss. Running has its benefits: you strengthen your circulatory system, train your heart, and release endorphins. If you enjoy jogging, listen carefully to your body and do not be guided by the indications of fashion trackers:only you yourself can feel when you need to stop. A separate conversation is about sharp interval jogging. This is extreme for the heart, you have to be trained enough for such experiments."
Why do girls keep running when they understand that the weight is not going away? When I noticed that I was not losing weight from training, running meant much more to me than weight. I felt happy and beautiful on every run, my skin glowed and all disturbing thoughts disappeared in the first kilometer.
New acquaintances became a special motivation to run. Running communities and co-workouts are a great way to meet people who are strong in spirit. You meet for an early breakfast, laugh, and go jogging through the empty city streets. The next step is general race trips. Paris, Rome, Stockholm, San Francisco, Tallinn or St. Petersburg - you see cities from a new perspective and feel like heroes.
