
Denial, anger, acceptance - these are the main stages through which almost every one of us comes in a difficult situation. Today many are experiencing this. And I am no exception. My parents live in another city, my husband remained in quarantine in another country, and the business is very shaky on one leg, which is about to turn up, dropping its carcass to the ground. Fear for the health of loved ones, my fate and my team five years ago could easily have sent me to the neurosis department. But not today. The ability to accept the situation is my acquired superpower, without which the quality of life would be greatly affected. How do I do it? Share my personal experience.
Method number 1: agree with the situation
Acceptance is the highest level of understanding. At the same time, you are fully aware not only of what happened to you, but also why it is needed. Any problem has two sides: external and internal. The first is just a consequence of a "mental" breakdown. Quarantine can also be passed through this approach. You can talk as much as you like about the causes of the pandemic, but it cannot be denied that by closing the borders, it opened up new opportunities for us: to spend more time with our families, to develop ourselves and devote leisure to our hobbies. Probably, this was exactly the inner request of our collective unconscious.

Method number 2: move on by accepting new conditions
Shaking your fists in the air and feeling sorry for yourself is a dead-end path that can lead to even more problems. The sooner you agree and understand the inevitability of the situation, the faster you will find a way out. The mechanism of adaptation to new conditions is genetically embedded in us. Just click on "off" emotion and on "on" logic and sober mind. When it is impossible to change the situation, you need to look at it from a different angle, writing down the advantages and using them - and they are always there, believe me.
Method number 3: think about the goal
Suffering is our personal choice. And circumstances are just an excuse to do it on completely legal grounds. As long as our personal focus of attention is directed to pain, it is absolutely useless to look for a way out. Never and under no circumstances should one forget about the goal. This gives strength to move on. If you are sad right now, think about the emotions you will experience when your dreams come true. This method helps me always and everywhere.
Method number 4: get rid of value judgments
Much has been written about what it is and what to do about it in the books of the philosopher Eckhart Tolle. The implication of his theory is simple: everyone needs to learn to consider situations and their own emotions without dividing them into “good” and “bad”. This will leave room for common sense, removing unnecessary suffering.
Method number 5: learn to thank
Each of us loves to complain about life, circumstances and people who think differently. We spend so much time on negativity that we stop noticing the little things that bring pleasure. Get yourself a notebook in which every evening you will write down one event for which it is worth saying "thanks" to this life. Even if it's just about a cup of the most delicious cappuccino in your life.
Method number 6: live consciously
No matter how we try to protect ourselves from negativity, there will always be situations in life that are not entirely pleasant to us. And that's okay. Life is never one-sided and smooth, it is more like a roller coaster - up and down. Just make every move with awareness. Feel every muscle when doing sports, breathe deeply, laugh heartily and then the negative will not cause mental suffering.
