And at the same time, to fall in love with training, get in shape, become slimmer and improve health - a special correspondent for BeautyHack Daria Sizova brought out a formula for success (spoiler - it suits everyone).

A sedentary lifestyle and 7-8 hours at the computer have not yet added health to anyone. The back is the first at risk. But the worst thing is that at first you just don't notice the problems. Posture worsens, muscles stagnate and weaken, and one day you simply will not be able to straighten out, as in a stupid joke (though it will not be funny at all).

So it was with me. The first signs of a sore back were noticed not even by me, but by the masseur from Encore Fitness, whom I visited in December at our spa bachelorette party (read how it went here).

The specialist strongly recommended that I start playing sports, but I did not listen to him. The pain worsened, and yet I decided to follow the advice (in my case, this is not a desire to follow the fashion for a healthy lifestyle, but a forced necessity). But the result exceeded all expectations: in 30 days I not only coped with pain, but also changed my lifestyle.

1 day

First impression Saturday morning, it is very cold and gray outside. It seems that getting yourself up to workout is just a super task. I have no desire to go in for sports, but back pains overpower.

The mood changes as soon as the elevator doors open on the third floor of the OKO-Tower. A large bright space, pleasant conversations and the aroma of a spa in an expensive hotel, which sets you up for calm and energizes. 10 minutes in the sales department, and I'm ready to go into a new life (read - get acquainted with sports).

A visit to the club begins with a consultation with a doctor and a coach. My body is scanned on a special machine (very quickly and comfortably), we find out an unpleasant picture: weak muscles, increased scoliosis, little fat and general tone is lost. The doctor's recommendation is not to lose weight, not to get involved in power loads, sign up for yoga and start going to the pool. A long conversation inspires confidence and sets you up for a positive.

I move to the next office to the smiling coach. After reading the doctor's conclusion, he asks me to perform a few simple exercises (reminiscent of a school physical education lesson), measures pressure, tests me for endurance on strength equipment and a treadmill.

I feel tired, but for some reason the mood is upbeat. Physical activity is said to promote the release of endorphins. Maybe they don't lie - even the smoothies in the club's cafe seem tastier than the usual.

Day 2 - first training session

Going to the first lesson after a hard day's work seems like a stupid idea, but there is nowhere to retreat. A yoga class takes place several times a week at a convenient evening, and meditation even later (to make it easier to fall asleep).

I come to the club in a bad mood, the phone is torn from messages, and anger chokes me that I'm not going home to my favorite sofa. But in the locker room I find everything a forgetful editor needs - cotton pads, makeup remover (you can read about my favorite here), hair ties. I brush my hair and go to a yoga class.

I am already familiar with this sport not by hearsay, so I decided not to take individual training - I like group classes. But one lesson with a coach for any type of activity is included in the cost of the card, all subsequent ones are paid additionally. I decided to postpone this option for another sport and entered the classroom with a sigh of pain.

There are still 10 minutes before class, but the teacher is already waiting for us, who smiles and cheerfully tells something to the other group members. It is immediately noticeable that the group is close-knit and classes are rarely missed (which is strange for a fitness club format with many activities). But the coach immediately pays attention to newcomers (today there are two of them, including me) - he tells them which mats are better to take and where to sit. We wait 5 minutes for latecomers (after all, rush hour) and start classes.

The coach immediately explained that yoga is not an Olympic sport and the task “faster, higher, stronger” does not work here. You need to work to the best of your body and in no case should you overload and injure. Her concern is visible not only in words - in every asana you feel her gaze (as if she had a thousand eyes, but she really managed to follow each one). If something is wrong, she will come up and show you how to do it.

After class, I don't feel like a driven horse. Pleasant fatigue, slightly sleepy, the muscles seemed to "come to life" after a good stretch. I fell asleep that day quickly (and with pleasure!).

Day 5 - swimming pool

The next day, the muscles ached mercilessly (which is normal if you don't move at all). Therefore, I decided to go to the pool only after 2 days. But if you do not have serious problems, the desire to become a Schwarzneiger or very urgently lose weight before the beach, two workouts a week is the optimal load.

A comfortable warm bathrobe, slippers (the fact that you don't need to carry anything with you and you can even rent a wardrobe is another plus of the club). The pool in the club is really huge - three large lanes and, what is important, a comfortable water temperature. The sun loungers are more like comfortable beds, which are pleasant to lie on in between classes. I swim six full lanes, have a smoothie (ordering directly to the pool) and ready to go home (while my back seems to be screaming thanks to me!).

Second week - a story about a lot of stress and a little depression

Change doesn't come alone, and stress comes with it. Problems at work turned into a terrible mood, and the missed workout did not make me feel better - I canceled my plans, went to class on another day. On Saturday, the mood approached zero, and I was desperately looking for a place where I could spend a few quiet hours. The solution was found faster - in the same club.

I come to the gym, walk past the yoga class, the functional training area and head straight to the thermal baths - the area behind the pool that a spa resort can envy. The arsenal includes three different saunas, a real Russian steam room, a salt room and massage chairs, after 30 minutes in which you feel like after a full massage.

After the vaping session, thoughts become clearer, the state of health improves, the muscles relax. I decided to look into the baths regularly after training, and after 2 weeks my beautician noticed that the skin became much cleaner.

Third week - the habit is formed

Psychologists say that a habit is formed in 21 days. And they certainly do not lie - it happened to me. By the third week, I automatically go to the gym on certain days, and my back at the end of the day stopped hurting.

Training no longer seems like a labor obligation, because I became more active, got rid of aching pains, and even began to have less and less headaches - the blood in the vessels began to circulate more actively.

There was also an interest in other sports - fortunately, there are a lot of them in the club. Opportunities to try both classic simulators and Pilates, as well as new types of functional fitness that work with all muscle groups (well, or for certain tasks - whoever likes what).

The fourth week - I myself do not believe that sport has become a way of life

By the end of the month, I clearly realized that I can no longer imagine my life without the club. He very organically blended into it due to its convenient location, a lot of useful options (restaurant, parking, comfortable changing rooms) and professional trainers. Here I realized that the love of sports is not just a fashion trend, but a habit that will really make your life and well-being much better. You just need to find the right place where you will be helped to love him!
