Are you looking for a procedure after which you will feel lightness and inspiration? BeautyHack Senior Editor Karina Andreeva went to a Tropical Magnolia massage at the Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris and shared her impressions.
The Four Seasons George V Spa is located in the eponymous hotel in the heart of Paris, 200 meters from the Champs Elysees. As soon as I went inside, I saw a huge number of bright fresh flowers in the hotel lobby - they are delivered every week. I was taken to the fourth floor, where the spa center is located. Now it is under renovation, but this almost does not affect the work of the salon: you can choose any spa program and visit the fitness room (its size is 110 square meters). But the hammam, sauna and pool are promised to be restored by the beginning of 2018 (the size of the latter, by the way, will be 17 square meters). There is also a beauty salon here: you can do manicure, pedicure, epilation, styling and even keratin hair straightening. Speaking specifically about the spa menu, you can come here for mineral or anti-aging facials, wraps, body detox programs and spa treatments with massages (both slimming and simply relaxing). I chose the Tropical Magnolia procedure - it lasts 80 minutes and, naturally, does not go away without the use of magnolia oil.
At the reception, the administrator met me and took me to a cozy waiting room, where she offered me ginger tea (natural - it is made here from ginger root, lemon and honey). Then she handed me over to the massage specialist Emily and we went into a cozy room. Yes, yes, just a "room": at the entrance you have a private bathroom (with a bath, shower and toilet), and the massage itself is given to you in a separate room, where there are two comfortable couches.
I put on disposable underwear, a white robe and went to the massage room. Before him, Emily clarified whether I have any diseases or back problems, which massage I prefer (light, medium, deep) and if there is any area that needs special attention (in my case it turned out to be my back, who suffers forever from a sedentary office lifestyle). To begin with, I was seated in a cozy gray chair, and I placed my legs in a basin with rose petals. The Tropical Magnolia procedure begins with a foot massage with aromatic oil with a floral scent.
Then I moved to the couch and lay on my back: the aromatic journey began and a real anti-stress for the whole body. First, Emily massaged her face, and then moved on to the areas of the neck, abdomen, arms and legs. I chose a deep massage, but I didn't feel any discomfort at all. It is always difficult for me to fall asleep during such procedures, but this time it was as if I really passed out for almost an hour - until the moment when Emily quietly asked me to roll over and lie on her stomach to do a back massage. During the procedure, Emily rubbed magnolia oil into her skin - fragrant but not too sticky - it was not difficult to remove it after the procedure (considering that most of it got to the hair roots). But then the skin was smooth, like a baby's.
When to go to Magnolia Treatment?

- After a hard (and sedentary!) Working week in the office.
- Before the flight (my case - late in the evening of this day I flew home). If usually, even in three hours on the plane, I managed to feel severe discomfort and beginning puffiness, this time three and a half hours in the air passed unnoticed - I was even able to sleep!)
Another important point. After spa treatments, I often rush home to shower and tidy up. All spas provide this opportunity, but they tend to resemble the showers in gyms - where there is someone else besides you. And even if no one bothers you, does not drive you out and does not rush you, you can hardly relax and slowly, lazily gather somewhere, as if you were at home. Four Seasons Spa George V gives you this opportunity - as I wrote above, you essentially find yourself in a full-fledged hotel room for a couple of hours. After the procedure, I took a bath - in the room you can find everything you need: from shampoos, hair conditioner and shower gel to styling gel and varnish, deodorant and several types of combs. I had a cosmetic bag with me, so after doing full makeup and styling my hair with the products from the miracle bath, I,rested and "inspired" with a light gait went to the evening event.
