Facial cleansers are considered basic treatments - everyone uses them. But not everyone knows that they should be chosen not by the smell and design of the bottle, but solely by the type of skin, taking into account the time of year. And it's better to do it with a specialist. Collected in the materials all the information about the most famous means for washing and the rules for their choice.
Dermatologist-cosmetologist, leading specialist at the EMC clinic (European Medical Center) Yana Khodnevich explains:

- If you really care about the beauty and youth of your skin, you need to choose cosmetics strictly with your beautician! When you have a stomach ache, you go to the doctor, and do not self-medicate. And with the skin as well. Dryness or, conversely, too active work of the sebaceous glands, the appearance of the first wrinkles, acne, a decrease in skin elasticity - in each case it is necessary to individually approach the solution of the problem. There are no general recipes for beauty and universal remedies that would suit everyone.
Cleansing gels

Tamara Chomayeva, an expert cosmetologist at the Nail Sunny Beauty salon, recommends gels specifically for oily, problematic and combination skin that needs careful, but at the same time, delicate cleansing.
Purpose: the task of the gel in this case is to deeply cleanse (but not to squeak), provide a mattifying, anti-inflammatory effect, narrow pores, and eliminate imperfections.
All gels are based on surfactants, which remove impurities and makeup residues. But, depending on the needs of the skin, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and other components can be added to washing gels.
Many products indicate the type of skin for which the gel is intended. If you see a mark for oily skin, then the composition contains acids that cleanse and normalize the sebaceous glands.
If you are doing light makeup, then one gel will be enough for washing - it will remove the remnants of makeup. If you do permanent makeup, then you must first remove it, and then wash your face with gel.
When washing your face, do not leave the gel on the skin - this can play a cruel joke with you. This category of funds is designed to collect everything that has accumulated on the face during the day. Otherwise, they can dry out the skin or cause an allergic reaction.
How to wash: wet your hands, apply gel on them, lather and transfer the product to the skin, after washing thoroughly, rinse off the product with water.
Enzyme Powder

Enzyme powder was invented in South Korea. Now this product is on the same shelf with such banal cares as gels and foams, but at the time of appearance, the powder with granules, which foamed when water was added, delighted some, while others were bewildered if it was too harsh for daily skin cleansing. Indeed, to some, enzyme powder may seem too much for daily use. Therefore, Tamara Chomayeva recommends using it for owners of oily and combination skin. The product provides high-quality cleansing, mattifies the skin without overdrying it, creates the effect of narrowing the pores.
The powder got its name from the main component - enzymes, natural enzymes that, sliding over the skin, remove impurities and makeup residues. This is a kind of alternative to light exfoliation, so be careful with this treatment and see how your skin reacts to using the powder.
Hydrophilic oil

Another Korean "notion" that has settled in our bathrooms for a long time. Tamara recommends using hydrophilic oil for those with dry and sensitive skin - your cleanser should work gently, delicately and efficiently. Typically, hydrophilic oil contains moisturizing, nourishing, and hypoallergenic ingredients. It is also useful in winter, when dryness, irritation and peeling are more likely due to wind, cold and dry air.
The basis of the product is oils and emulsifiers, which foam when exposed to water. They are extremely effective in removing super-resistant makeup: only hydrophilic oils are able to cope with the most "concrete" lipsticks MAC and Lime Crime - they quickly and effortlessly break down fats and waxes contained in products. And the skin is not overdried.
Foam for washing
The product is also suitable for those with dry and sensitive skin - for you the foam will become an alternative to the gel for washing. It will gently remove rashes and at the same time will not dry out or injure the skin.
Please note that the frequency of using the products also depends on the skin type. If you have dry skin, then washing your face with foam (or another means) is enough once a day. In the morning, you can use micellar water (which you also need to rinse off without fail). It is better to cleanse oily skin with a special product twice a day to avoid the appearance of excess oiliness in the morning - do not forget that the sebaceous glands also work at night.
When applying foam (like any other cleanser), try not to smear it on the skin, but, as it were, massage your face, thereby stimulating the processes of skin renewal. And one more beauty hack: do not be lazy and do not be afraid to use brushes for washing (now there are a huge number of them) along with cares. So you increase the efficiency of the first and save the amount of the second - just a drop of foam is needed for the Clarisonic or Foreo brush to foam it to the desired level.
How to understand the composition of cleansers?

Tamara Chomayeva advises to focus on the type of skin. “It is desirable that the product be based on a mild surfactant, preferably a vegetable one. Also pay attention to the presence of caring ingredients that will improve the condition of the skin. D-panthenol, allantoin, aloe vera gel soothe and heal irritations and inflammations, clay deeply cleanses and mattifies, salicylic acid, tea tree oil, charcoal extracts fight acne, ANA acids gently exfoliate and smooth the relief, hyaluronic acid, oils, vitamin They intensively moisturize, collagen and retinol increase elasticity and smooth wrinkles. " If you are well versed in the composition, then do not make the mistake of choosing a cleanser that says "for all skin types." Choose your care according to your needs and the season.
