The manicurist and creator of the popular youtube channel Masha Create told why it is important to focus on the color of the cuticle and why dusty nude shades of varnishes are good.
Focus on the color type
In fact, a nude shade is a broader concept than nails to match the color of the skin or nail plate. The palette of nude lacquers includes beige, peach, pink and chocolate, from light to dark. And also varnishes have different texture and saturation: translucent, dense, with sparkles, shimmers, mica, mother of pearl. Any of these shades are considered nude, even if they contrast with your skin. At the same time, you can always diversify the classic coating with rhinestones (here I showed how to make such a manicure), with “knitted” elements (video here) and a gradient.
When choosing a nude gel polish, consider your color type: girls with a cold color type ("summer" and "winter") should choose cold shades, with warm ones ("spring" and "autumn") - shades are warmer.
Cuticle color also matters
To make the nude stand out on your nails, choose a shade that contrasts with the color of your cuticle. If you want to match your skin tone, something in between the color of the cuticle and the nail plate will do. At the same time, if you have a reddish cuticle, be careful with the mustard shades.
Break stereotypes
It is believed that light nudes are not suitable for swarthy girls. This is not true.
Milk shades on tanned hands look bright and accentuate the tan.
For Snow White, I advise not too saturated coffee-pink shades or cocoa. Be sure you will love the result!
Dusty nude
"Dirty", dusty brown shades give neatness to the hands and look unobtrusive. And this is what is required of nude! Therefore, in the category of varnishes with a dense pigment content, such colors are unmatched.
Pure translucent colors
If you like translucent varnishes, choose solid colors. They will shade the color of the nail plate, giving them a healthy, even tone.

This is the trend of this season - transparent varnish and a neat, clean manicure. You can also opt for a slightly pigmented powdery shade that will smoothen your nails without changing color.
