What color will be the most relevant for Pantone and why is neon yellow a good option for a spring manicure? Independent expert, nail artist and blogger Irene @ iren.pro.nogti spoke about her favorite universal shades.
Ultraviolet
The Pantone Color Institute has named UV the color of 2018, so feel free to experiment with all of its shades. According to Pantone, the most fashionable color is “dramatically provocative and thoughtful”. If you want to see exactly this shade on your nails, choose 019 varnish from the Sisters brand.
Nude
This is an all-time trend. Nude shades are universal and, which is especially important for winter, are suitable for unburned hands. Get inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest and the red carpet. Many stars are opting for nude nails this year: Kristen Bell for the SAG Awards, Juliana Rancic for the Golden Globe, Hayley Steinfeld and Heidi Klum for the Grammy Awards. By the way, the last manicure was done by the star master Tom Bachik. Other clients include Jennifer Lopez and Margot Robie.
My favorite nude shade is Sheer Nude by Orly.
Red
Red is another classic option. This color is always relevant. But keep in mind that red always attracts attention, so the skin of the hands and cuticles must be well-groomed. I love Lovely's # 033 red.
Pastel
Pastel shades are made for spring. And girls also like them, because they are as neutral and not distracting as possible. Experiment with pastel purple this year. The Linto brand (I told you more about it here) has two actual shades in the new collection: 030 and 034.
Yellow
If you want to bring summer closer as soon as possible, choose bright colors. My favorite is Naughty Melon from the Russian brand Lianail. This neon shade looks very bright on nails, but not pretentious. Especially if you like monochrome colors in your clothes.
