Floral print, marble, gradient and two more contemporary designs. Anastasia Solo (@letsnailmoscow), a nail art master and owner of the let's nail Moscow youtube channel, told how to make drawings on nails at home and explained how nail art can be restrained and unpretentious.
Gradient
I already refer to this option as a classic. This is a very neutral, unobtrusive design option. The gradient can be done with any shades and coatings: gel varnishes, ordinary varnishes, special paints. It is applied with a brush, sponge, apparatus. If you want to try this kind of design, go for a master who already knows how to do it.
You can "pull" two similar colors. For example, blue and turquoise - the transition will be almost invisible. You can wash out the color: from more saturated to lighter (from blue to white). It turns out super gentle and spring-like! And the transitions of bright colors look very juicy: from pink to yellow, for example. Here's how to make the perfect gradient.

Graphics and geometry
I love straight lines and geometric shapes in art, clothing and manicure. The geometry can be either very complex (interlacing of triangles, many fine lines on the nails) or, conversely, simple.

Negative space
With this manicure, part of the nail remains unpainted. This technique is most often performed with special stickers, it is simple, and every girl can try it at home. Take a thin strip of scotch tape, apply the base on the nail, glue the strip on top in an arbitrary place, cover the nail with varnish and, without letting it dry, peel off the tape. You will get an unusual variation of the graphics on the nails. This technique looks most advantageous in black and white shades (I have already talked about my favorite colors in this material).

Minimalism
If you are an active user of Instagram, Tumbler and Pinterest, you have probably seen pictures with short nails and one dot somewhere on the side of the nail plate. Experiment with a minimalist design: add a little touch, a tiny drawing, stick on a tiny heart. Surprisingly, this manicure turns out to be very cute and delicate.

Ornaments
This technique is as close as possible to the classic nail art. I have two favorite designs. The first is a marbled drawing. Such a coating is suitable for those who love natural textures, classic shades. Just check with the master if he knows how to do such a manicure. Or you can try making it yourself. On my youtube channel, I filmed a video of how easy it is to do a marble manicure at home.

The second version of the ornament is a floral print. They can fill the entire nail or make a small detail at the base. A manicure with a monstera or palm leaf looks very impressive. Moreover, such a coating can be both expressive, bright, and neutral.
