Top make-up artist and winner of the World Bodypainting Festival in the Creative Makeup nomination Daria Iodel spoke about how to do topical makeup for Halloween, and explained how to get a long-lasting glossy finish on your lips.
Metallic shadows

To replicate the looks from last year's Alberta Ferretti and Balmain shows, use my favorite Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow by Urban Decay. Apply lighter shades to the inner corner of the eye, and bright colors to the movable eyelid for sparkling smoky eyes. If you fix these creamy eyeshadows with dry eyeshadow, you get a wet, slightly voluminous finish.

Another tool is Make Up For Ever's Star Lit Glittering Powder. Outwardly, it resembles nail polish and has a liquid texture. Apply Star Lit to the inner corner of the eye for a moist glow, or to the cheekbone area as a highlighter. In this collection, I love the warm shades of gold and rose gold.
Glossy finish on lips

Mix matte lipsticks with glitters - a glossy finish is very relevant now. For example, MAC has a dense sheen that makeup artists call liquid glass. It can be used alone or over a matte tint for a luscious glossy effect! And now is the time to test the bright berry shades. Look for the most persistent and saturated colors in Lime Crime: Red Velvet, Red Rose, Rustic.

Glitter

On the eve of Halloween, you can safely experiment with glitters. I recommend funds from NYX. They can be applied to Inglot's Duraline bases or Make Up For Ever's Aqua Seal Waterproof Liquid Converter for a long-lasting texture. Another idea for a party is glitters on the lower eyelid. This is very relevant now and will work if you are afraid to overdo it and want to feel comfortable with your makeup.
