When you are exploring local cuisine on your trip in search of new gastronomic sensations, the best thing is to find and taste local specialties, what will be the freshest and tastiest only here! It is logical and correct to try seafood where there is sea; pasta and pizza - in Italy; foie gras and onion soup - in France. I buy cosmetics abroad on the same principle - I look for the best from local manufacturers.
Asia
Here the most advanced cosmetics industry is used - it uses only the latest technologies and developments. Try the unique products of Asian brands - not all of them can be found in Russia. One of my favorite brands is Shu Uemura (Japan), which should appear here in the fall. I love for the quality, impeccable positioning and philosophy of the brand, thoughtful compositions, each product really works. Shu Uemura has an amazing cleansing oil that rinses off makeup perfectly. The oil is applied with massage movements on the face, then the hands need to be slightly wetted: upon contact with water, the product foams and completely cleanses the face. Even if you have super long-lasting makeup, the oil will dissolve all your makeup, leaving your skin feeling moisturized and velvety.
I love Japanese eye drops Rohto - one of my favorites, they perfectly remove redness!
There are a lot of unusual beauty products in Asia. For Asian girls, it is important: just to prepare the skin for make-up, they sometimes apply 7 products.
USA
From America I bring Cover Girl mascaras - cheap and very simple, sold in pharmacies and supermarkets. But they are one of the best in their price segment, they work brilliantly. They have comfortable brushes that perfectly curl and separate eyelashes, creating a natural volume. As a make-up artist, I always pay attention to the brush in mascara.
For myself and my friends, I always bring Crest whitening toothpaste - a proven and high-quality product.
Once in New York, you simply have to go to Sephora. It is unlikely that you can see so many cosmetics anywhere else, many brands in Sephora are presented exclusively. Here I like to buy Stila markers and eyebrow liners, I like Milk products, their design and interesting packaging. It is more profitable to buy well-known American brands of cosmetics in the USA - for example, I buy Tom Ford Beauty only here.
Europe
France
If you find yourself in France, I recommend buying well-known French brands. Be sure to go to the pharmacy for the Embryolisse cream - not only world makeup artists love it, but all French women for many years. I like the Lait-Сrème Сoncentré version of the milk. It is easily absorbed and quickly moisturizes the skin, ideal for the cold season.
When I come to Paris, I always take two huge bottles of Bioderma micellar water - here they are sold as a set and much cheaper than in Russia.
London
In London, it is worth buying products from the famous brands Charlotte Tilbury and Illamasqua, which are sold only there. Enter the Illamasqua store - you will be greeted by bright freaks! The brand is famous for its varied color palette and unusual textures. One of my favorite brow products that I recommend everyone to try is Eye Brow Cake, Motto. Incredible texture and shade that looks natural!
Italy
If you are traveling to Italy, think about what brands can only be there. When I visit Milan Fashion Week, I always go to the Madina store - these are affordable professional products that are suitable for work and everyday life. One of Madina's favorite products is the Chic & Shine highlighter stick. Beautifully layering - from subtle shine to denser and brighter.
From Milan I often bring Marvis pasta with cinnamon or jasmine. I come home, use this paste and for a long time remember the sensations from the trip. In Russia, by the way, you can also find it - albeit at a completely different price.
