The creator of the Anatomia makeup studio Olga Tomina (@tominamakeup) told why “gym skin” in everyday life is overkill, and explained how to make the skin glowing, not “wet”.

“I think that for ordinary life, the“gym skin”effect may be superfluous. In my opinion, it is more appropriate for filming. But from this technique, you can glean chips that will help in creating your daily makeup. A girl's goal should not be "sweaty" skin, but radiant and healthy - the result of competent strobing. Important: be sure to consider your skin type when doing this makeup."
Pre-hydration
The skin must be hydrated. It happens that she literally absorbs all the water from the tone and after 2 minutes one pigment remains on the face - so no "gym skin" effect will work.
Moisturizer or cosmetic oil
Apply a moisturizer or cosmetic oil before makeup, depending on your skin type. Feels like it should be elastic, soft.
Shining base

If the skin is dry and normal, the base can be applied all over the face. If it is oily, combined - only on the protruding parts, because in other places, over time, an oily sheen will still appear. I recommend MAC Strobe Cream - a very well-known remedy. On a budget: Born to Glow Illuminating Primer from NYX Cosmetics.
Light tone

Use only a light foundation with a satin finish. Matting agent will nullify all efforts! There are foundations that give the illusion of a healthy glow to the skin. Now I am testing one of them - NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. If your skin is dry, Face & Body by Make Up For Ever will do.
Illuminizer

Apply only to protruding parts of the face. If the skin is dry, use a creamy illuminator (not waxy!), If oily - dry. From cream products I advise highlighters from ColourPop: they do not "float" on the face, do not dissolve the tone, but give the effect of a "wet shine". In terms of durability, they are not inferior to a quality tone. By the way, ColourPop is also suitable for oily skin.
Powder for oily or combination skin
If you need the effect of "wet" skin, it is better not to use powder. But if you have an oily or combination type, apply powder. The shine will still show up during the day.
Touch up your makeup with light powder

Use a fine mineral powder to correct your makeup throughout the day, which can be layered. As a make-up artist, I don't particularly like matting wipes, because they do rub off makeup. Better transparent powder! If yours is not compact, apply with a fluffy soft brush. I am using HD Manly Pro.
