Eyelashes can transform your image, make your look expressive and wide open. It is important that they look natural, even if you are wearing overhead. Let me tell you what techniques I use to create perfect lashes both on set and in everyday life.

Eyelash Curler Kevyn Aucoin

The main way to help you make your look more expressive is, of course, eyelash curlers. I, like many makeup artists, choose the tool of the Kevyn Aucoin brand - for me they are the most convenient. However, the MAC tweezers are also quite good.

I use this tool both in my work and in my personal life. For eyelashes, this is not at all harmful if you curl them correctly on an open eye, and always before applying mascara.

Favorite mascara

There is no product more personalized than mascara. Every girl loves a certain shape of the brush and the texture of the product itself. But still, I will name my favorite mascaras, with the help of which I achieve maximum volume and lengthening:

Tony Moly Delight Circle Lens

I discovered this product recently and completely by accident. A mascara with a light curling effect, comfortable brush, good balance between thickness and lengthening. And what is most important for me, it does not crumble. Also, this mascara is easily removed with a "straw" - in this matter, Asian products are more convenient than others. When you wash off the mascara, it does not rub over the eye, but simply rolls off under the influence of warm water.

Estee lauder sumptuous infinite

I prefer the silicone brushes - this mascara is very comfortable! An excellent option for every day: the product is easy to layer, it is worn perfectly and can be washed off without problems with warm water.

Tom Ford Ultra Length Mascara

My longtime favorite. Classic lengthening mascara with a comfortable thin brush. The texture is plastic, fits perfectly on the eyelashes and, of course, does not crumble by the end of the day.

YSL Baby Doll Mascara

Of course, this is a classic - a product that many professionals love. Again, I like the silicone brush. Make your eyelashes incredible with this mascara!

MAC Pro Beyond Twisted Lash

I use this mascara when it comes to false eyelashes. I advise you to buy exactly tape eyelashes made from natural fur, stick them on your clean eyelashes, and paint over with MAS mascara after, and only at the base - so that the tips of the false hairs remain intact. This way you can achieve maximum naturalness. In addition, the mascara will "glue" your eyelashes to the false lashes a little and it will look natural.

This mascara has the most convenient brush, it allows you to accurately paint over, separate and not stain false eyelashes - perfect.

The 10 second rule

Another little hack: eyelashes can and should be painted over in 2-3 layers, but between "approaches" do an interval - no more than 10 seconds. The mascara should only dry out a little, but if it dries completely and you start to layering the product, you will get the effect of untidy, glued eyelashes.

Don't be afraid of false eyelashes

If I need volume and lengthening, I always use false eyelashes. For my line, I have created the maximum variety of eyelashes for natural makeup. The differences lie in density, length, shape - after all, each eye is unique and eyelashes must be selected according to individual characteristics.

All false eyelashes can be divided into 3 types: elongated at the outer corner of the eye (to create a cat-eye effect), elongated in the middle (we get the so-called "doll eye") and tufts. The latter are the most difficult to use, but I noticed that about 80 percent of girls cope with both bunches and false eyelashes, without any outside help.

For the remaining 20 percent, this is an insurmountable obstacle (laughs). I would advise everyone to just go to the course once and learn how to work with eyelashes - a very useful skill!

I will tell you how to choose the right eyelashes:

• If you have small eyes, you do not need to wear too long false eyelashes - it will look deliberately, unnatural. In makeup, everything is logical and proportional - choose the length of the eyelashes in proportion to the shape of your eye.
• All false eyelashes are available in standard lengths for the largest eye. What if they are too big for you? Just cut off some of the eyelashes from the outer corner with scissors.
• You should also pay attention to the distance between the eyebrow and the eye. Even if you have large enough eyes, but your eyebrows are low, do not be zealous with the length of the eyelashes - it is better to choose a shorter option, otherwise you will visually “lower” your eyebrows even more.
• If you are glueing the lashes yourself, try to step back 2-3 mm from the beginning of the growth of your hairs at the inner corner of the eye. Otherwise, the cilia will wrinkle when you close your eyes, and it is unpleasant to prick your skin.
