How to replace milk chocolate, why sauerkraut makes you smile and what will help to cope with fatigue - says the two-time world champion in body fitness Yulia Ushakova.
Milk chocolate is considered the most harmful for the figure. In addition to sugar, it contains a large amount of milk - it must be replaced. For example, natural cocoa - it is pressed into the same briquettes as chocolates. With a small spoonful of honey, it tastes just as sweet.
Can be replaced with dried fruits. They also contain sugar, but not in the same amount as in classic chocolate. Dried apricots, apples, prunes perfectly satisfy hunger.
Still, when you want to cheer yourself up, opt for fresh fruit (or vegetables). Almost all fruits contain a little sugar - fructose. But there are also endorphins - "hormones of happiness".
Two kiwis a day - and you will not want neither coffee nor sweets. It has practically no sugar, but a lot of endorphins, fruit acids and vitamin C (even more than lemons).
Another natural source of endorphins that will not spoil your figure (57 calories in one pear). Pears are sweet, but they contain even less sugar than apples. And unlike apples, they don't increase your appetite.
Pineapples contain vitamins C and B, thiamine and coarse dietary fiber that satisfy hunger and cope with fatigue.
Another bonus: pineapple helps you digest heavy foods. That is why it is often eaten with meat, especially white meat, such as turkey.
Plums are often recommended for insomnia - thanks to vitamin B, they strengthen the nervous system.
Strawberries and cherries
In summer, I often make berry smoothies - the perfect snack between breakfast and lunch. They satisfy hunger and charge with vitamins that lift your mood. Cherry, by the way, has an analgesic effect.
The anti-stress properties of carrots are associated with beta-carotene, a substance that is converted in the body into the important vitamin A. Carrots can be eaten fresh or dried as chips.
Sauerkraut is high in vitamin C and is one of the healthiest foods to eat, especially when eaten with butter.
I recommend eating pumpkin in the morning - to make pumpkin porridge out of it. Beta carotene and B vitamins will help you wake up.
Not everyone knows that cherry tomatoes are berries. In Asian countries, for example, they are put in the same dish with fruit. Cherries are sweet and healthy too, and they are high in organic acids and antioxidants.
