Kiteboarding
Kiteboarding (from the English kite - "kite", board - "board") - riding on a board behind a water scooter and parallel control of a kite, which acts as a sail. In this case, you can rush along the waves or rise into the air.

If you want to try yourself in this sport, from the equipment you will need a kite, a kateboard (board), a wetsuit, a control bar and lines. In order to master kiteboarding, it is not at all necessary to have any outstanding physical abilities. The main thing is the presence of an open reservoir and the help of a qualified instructor (at least in order to understand the principle and deliver the correct technique). The full course of study is approximately 5 lessons.
When controlling the kite and maintaining balance, almost all muscle groups are involved, especially the back, arms and abs. So you can walk the simulator while practicing kiteboarding with a clear conscience. By the way, if you are planning to do kiting seriously, in the future you will find a kite safari, for example, in Vietnam or Egypt. Schools not only teach, but also organize similar tours.

Wakeboarding
The younger brother of kiteboarding (or kitesurfing), wakeboarding combines the elements of waterski slalom and acrobatics and jumping. The very same board (wakeboard) is a kind of symbiosis of water skiing with snowboard and surf. There are two disciplines in this sport: cable wakeboarding (movement on water) and wakeboarding boat (you ride behind a boat or jet ski, holding on to the halyard (cable)). Wakeboarding lessons are held in the so-called wake parks: they differ from ordinary water bodies by the presence of special jumps for performing tricks.

For beginners, task number 1 is to learn how to get up on the board (if we are talking about a wakeboard boat) and maintain balance. You can accelerate on a wake up to 30 km / h! And at the same time it is excellent to pump the muscles of the thighs and buttocks (they have the main load).

Kayaking
This sport can be categorized as water tourism. Kayaking is very diverse: it can be either an extreme rafting down a mountain river or an ordinary expedition.

A kayak is a rowing boat. Modern kayaks are made from materials of increased strength (fiberglass, carbon fiber), and in the traditional version (among the Eskimos) it was made from skins, which were stretched over a wooden or bone frame.
With the development of kayaking, a new sport has appeared - canopolo, similar to water football, where players move in small boats. Canopolo has two halves of 10 minutes each. And physical activity in this short time can be compared to several hours of interval running!
If professional kayaking isn't for you, try beach kayaking. In this case, boats are used that are designed to move on calm water. Although their hulls do not have sides, they are unsinkable (due to the air inside). When driving a beach kayak, all muscle groups work, so the training is complete.

Yachting
No, we are not suggesting that you learn how to fly a huge transatlantic vessel in one season. There are many classes of small single-seat yachts! For example, "Laser-Standard", which can be transported on the roof of a car. The main idea here is a three-in-one concept: on the basis of one hull, you can change masts and sail area.

Any kind of yachting is an intense physical activity: when controlling even a small sailboat, both legs, shoulder girdle, and abs are involved.
The first steps on the way to mastering this royal sport begin with theoretical training (however, like all previous ones), because without understanding the movement of the wind you cannot swim far.
