How to combat gravity and add volume to fine, weak hair? BeautyHack founder Margarita Lieva tested products from the Luxurious Volume series from JOHN FRIEDA and shared the secrets that helped create a luxurious salon styling with her own hands.

Early morning in a hotel room and only an hour to get ready, half of which will definitely take up makeup. I take a look, full of doubts, my fine wavy hair that no curling iron can tame. Care

It is always easier to create volume on damp and clean hair, so I start by washing my hair. Luxurious Volume Touchably Full shampoo and conditioner promises to turn fine hair into luxurious dense curls just like advertised - check it out! I remember the advice of stylists: you always need to apply shampoo in two stages. The first removes styling residues and dust invisible to the eye, and the second thoroughly rinses the hair roots and scalp.

John Frieda Shampoo lathers perfectly, but cleans very delicately - I immediately feel how fine hair is noticeably transformed and noticeably thicker. I notice caffeine in the composition: this ingredient, like a cup of coffee, helps to wake up with a charge of energy and give a natural, luxurious volume.

Tip: If you are actively using styling products or dry shampoos, remember to occasionally use a deep cleanser shampoo. The remains of styling products and accumulated silicones can be difficult to remove with regular shampoo, as they lead to increased production of sebum and make the hair roots heavier. But the means for deep cleansing will rid the scalp of all that is superfluous and slightly dry the hair - they are guaranteed splendor.

I rinse my hair thoroughly, simultaneously assessing the lush lather with an amazing scent, and proceed to apply the conditioner. Years of practice have taught: this remedy on the roots not only completely deprives the volume, but can also lead to loss. I dab the curls with a towel (I also spied this technique from the stylists) and apply conditioner from the middle of the length.

People with fine hair often skip this step when washing their hair - and in vain. The conditioner makes it easier to detangle and softens the hair after cleansing. In addition, it is impossible to evaluate the sealing effect promised by shampoo without conditioner - the products work in tandem.

Tip: If you rarely use a hair mask, because you are afraid to weigh down your hair, to lose its fullness and volume, replace it with Luxurious Volume Conditioner. Apply as usual and leave for 3-5 minutes, blotting off excess moisture with a towel. This method will help you quickly add extra softness and care to dry hair ends if you have missed a few haircuts.

To keep the volume even longer (ideally, even after the next shampooing), while maintaining the density and splendor of fine hair, I apply Luxurious Volume 7-DAY to create a long-lasting volume. It is it that will fix the volume thanks to protein and keratin, will give a lasting result, even if you then wash your hair 2-3 times.

I use the product in the shower right after the conditioner: I apply it along the entire length, paying special attention to the roots. I advise you to use it in moderation - it all depends on the length of the hair: 3-4 presses of the dispenser for my length are enough for the polymers to start working immediately. Namely: they penetrated deep into the hair, thickened the fibers and formed a volume that you will feel even if you wash your hair. I keep the product for about four minutes and rinse it off with slightly cool water - for greater shine.

Tip: If you have fine hair, use not only volumizing shampoo and conditioner, but thickening products as well. The first ones will raise the curls at the roots and add splendor, the second ones will improve the hair matter: they will make them dense and visually thicker for a long time.

If I had even less time, I would have used another leave-in product right before styling - Core Restore Protein Lotion. Very little of it is needed - in the struggle for volume on thin hair, a golden mean and a reasonable use of the amount of funds are especially needed.

Styling

I have finished preparing my hair for volume in the shower and I can start styling. Thin hair has one significant plus - it dries quickly, which significantly reduces collection time. I'm waiting a couple of minutes. The volume is already visible, but you still need to pacify the hair: I apply the Luxurious Volume spray lotion for the root volume along the entire length, in order not only to create extra volume and lift the roots, but also to fix them in this position. I don't need an additional thermal protection product: the spray lotion will provide this protection, which is not afraid of high temperatures.

My main secret for fast and voluminous styling is head-down drying. The method is effective, and the hands do not get so tired, although it is not very useful for the hair (in this position, the cuticle opens). I carefully work out only the roots, pushing them with my hands to the side opposite to the air flow. I lift my head and arm myself with a round brush: this simple "device" will be able to replace an iron and smooth hair to length without sacrificing volume.

Tip: It is better if you do not install in the bathroom, but in a room where there is no high humidity.

Take the time to choose the right comb to create a voluminous look: it will reduce breakage and electrification, dry your hair faster, and most importantly, it will help set it in the right direction from the roots. At the same time, hold the hairdryer at an acute angle, directing the air currents parallel to the hairline - so that it glides along them. But do not forget to fix the result with cold air - the volume will last longer.

I am at the finish line: the hair is smooth, voluminous and lush and looks, looks natural and several times thicker. We need to consolidate this result!

To make the volume last as long as possible, I fix the styling with Luxurious Volume varnish. I will not be afraid of stereotypes: this varnish with "Caffeine Vitality Complex" has such a weightless formula that it will provide mobile and at the same time reliable styling. Forget about the "bulky helmet" - the hairspray is invisible on the hair and is suitable for everyday use. Girls with weightless and thin hair, like mine - take note!

I remember a favorite trick of Elle Woods from Legally Blonde: I put my head down, spray varnish like a weightless veil and rise sharply. The ultra-light formula of Luxurious Volume varnish will not keep you waiting for a long time to dry. Then I just gently comb the hair with my hands to give it mobility. I slightly lift the hair roots once again - this fixes the additional volume.

Tip: Handle your hair less during the day. This habit leads to the fact that the hair begins to get greasy faster - while the volume is irretrievably lost. In addition, constant touching weakens the curls and leads to the formation of split ends. Even combing them too often is not worth it - 2-3 times a day is enough.
