Tom Pesho

In his youth, the world-famous make-up artist, the creator of the iconic collections for the Shiseido and Estée Lauder brands, as well as the beloved master of Madonna, did not even think about a career as a makeup artist. At the beginning of the journey, Tom had only a diploma from a culinary college in Burgundy in his piggy bank. Tom is an ardent admirer of the lively natural beauty that Kate Moss and Romy Schneider can boast of. And before starting to do makeup, Pesho devotes a couple of minutes to a facial massage that stimulates blood circulation and allows you to create the effect of transparent skin. By the way, this year it was Tom who was responsible for the makeup of the Victoria's Secret “angels”.





Linda Cantello

The author of the famous image of David Bowie on the Black Tie White Noise LP Linda Cantello has worked with Mario Testino, Stephen Klein, Richard Avedon, Bruce Weber during her long career … V, you can go on and on. By the way, Smoky-eyes and pale lips (the hallmark of the Gucci brand, with which she worked in the 90s) are also the work of Linda. She also participated in the creation of the popular Maestro Foundation from the Giorgio Armani brand, of which she is still the official international makeup artist.


Francois Nars

This year, the famous makeup artist and creator of the beloved brand NARS Cosmetics received the Order of the Legion of Honor for his services to France. Although for more than 20 years, François has been living in New York, where his career went uphill: first as a makeup artist for the Versace brand, and then with Marc Jacobs. Now François continues to actively develop his own brand, personally participating in the work on all the filming and videos for NARS. And he shared his experience of a beauty guru in the book “Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself”.




Peter Philips

Dior's Creative Director of Makeup, Peter Philips, has been balancing avandard versus popular culture for years. The work of the makeup artist, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp, was influenced by the ideas of Anne Demelmeister, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Bikkembergs. But what really made Phillips famous was his collaboration with Raf Simons. After drawing the profile of Mickey Mouse on the model's face on the set of Raf Peter's collection, for a long time they called him “Mr. Mickey Mouse”. But the subsequent collaboration with the house of Chanel put everything in its place - Peter proved that he could not only think over creative ideas for filming, but create commercially successful makeup collections.




Olivier Eshodmaison

For 15 years, Frenchman Olivier Echaudmaison has been the creative director of the House of Guerlain. The renowned make-up artist and "man of the era" can boast of working with such divas as Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Jackie Kennedy, Romy Schneider, Mireille Mathieu. And Olivier's star status was brought by the daughter of Elizabeth II, Princess Anne, to whom he did makeup. Like many top makeup artists, Olivier does not tolerate complex makeup and dense tonal foundations. And in 1984, together with her husband, she created the Make Up For Ever brand, which at first was focused only on professionals, but then found a response from a less sophisticated audience - today the brand can be safely called one of the most popular among ordinary girls. A lover of sophisticated artistic makeup, Dani creates long-lasting products with a rich bright palette that appeal to actors, models and “mere mortals”.


Bobby Brown

Collaboration with the American magazine Glamor opened the door to the world of gloss for the young Bobby Brown. After the very first filming, her career began to develop rapidly: Vogue was released with Naomi Campbell on the cover, on the image of which Bobby worked with Patrick Demarchelier. A couple of years later, the makeup artist created her first line of lipsticks Bobbi Brown Lip Color, which is still one of the brand's bestsellers. By the way, since then, Bobby's brand has sold 23 million units a year, and the famous Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner is sold every minute around the world!




Max Factor

It was thanks to the Polish emigrant Max Factor that everyday things such as eye shadow and eyebrow pencils have become available to ordinary girls. The beauty revolutionist and creator of the multi-million dollar brand has radically changed the idea of what film makeup should be, for which he was awarded an Oscar. Among the most important achievements of the makeup artist: the invention of lip gloss and the introduction of the principles of color harmony, in accordance with which cosmetics began to be selected according to skin type, eye and hair color. And it was Max Factor who came up with such a familiar word for us "makeup".

Kevin Akoan

The famous makeup artist owes his success to Steven Meisel, who invited Kevin to shoot the cover of Vogue with Meg Tilly. A little later, Kevin's skills were appreciated by Nicole Kidman, Winona Ryder, Julia Roberts and Gwyneth Paltrow. And the canonical birthmark of Cindy Crawford gained popularity at the suggestion of a fashionable makeup artist, because it was he who focused on this feature of the model and urged not to hide it in any way. Kevin also developed funds for the Shiseido and Revlon brands, and in 2001, a year before his death, created his own brand Kevin Aucoin. By the way, the eyelash curler invented by Akoan is still considered the best.

Thien's career as a makeup artist began with a meeting with another revolutionary of the beauty industry - Max Factor. Nicolas Degenne

Becoming the art director of Givenchy brand, Nicolas Degenne revolutionized the philosophy of the brand and came up with a lot of innovative tools that still remain relevant.
