The founder of the school of healthy lifestyles, Tanya Rybakova, has already talked about her experience of losing weight by 55 kg. In the new material, Tanya explains how to find motivation and achieve the ultimate goal.
We are all looking for motivation, but each person puts his own meaning in this word. According to the definition, it consists in a psychophysiological process that prompts a person to action.
What is the motivation for losing weight?

It seems to be quite understandable why to lose weight, but why so many people cannot bring themselves to the desired results. I always recommend that you first define your desires, understand the goals and understand what tools will help you achieve it.
The first step is to figure out what kind of reason is driving you to change. Is it self-doubt, inability to find the right clothes, or is your boyfriend pushing you to do this? The starting position must be determined by you. Let me explain why.
I'll start with a story about the classification of types of motivation:

Extrinsic motivation is like in school, when a teacher is standing over you and you know that it is better not to come tomorrow without completing your homework. You seem to be doing what you need to do, but if the subject is not your favorite, then you will always do everything without enthusiasm or look for an option to jump off. Works, but not for long.
Intrinsic motivation is goal setting. It is already better, because if the goal is set competently and clearly, then it will not be difficult to paint a plan. True, in this case, a vicious circle of an eternally losing weight person can form. The process of losing weight is very often for most people stretched out in time, especially if you need to lose more than a dozen kilograms. In this case, it can be a mistake to make it your goal to lose weight by a certain event, for example, “lose weight by summer”.
The risk increases that after the end of the beach season and a victorious swim in a swimsuit on the beach, you will happily return to a messy selection of food and gain excess weight again.
This is what we see so often on vacation, when "all inclusive" blows your head. And then it's time to lose weight again by the New Year, and then by the summer, and so on.
Path motivation is the best kind that exists, as it involves enjoying the process. Yes, I understand that this may sound strange, because we get a lot of pleasure from food, but here we need to reduce its amount, and so on. But it is quite possible to lose weight with pleasure if you consider this process as an exciting journey in which you have to learn a lot of new things. For example, you will be able to understand how much you actually need to eat, how to cook familiar foods in a new way. You will be able to assess how your taste preferences have changed in a few weeks and which sport really touches you.

I think that after such a classification, the understanding of the process of weight loss goes to a new level. This is not torture and something difficult, just new is always scary. It doesn't take a lot of willpower or incredible effort. Just a couple of weeks of discipline and you are a different person, weighing in a month and you are a couple of kilograms lighter. It is not necessary to put this process in charge, this is just one of the areas of your life, but very important, because it directly affects your health.
After reading this article, I have an assignment for you:
- Think about what kind of motivation is working for you now and how to transform it to the last option.
- Find 3 healthy recipes and make them this week.
- Sign up for a workout you've wanted to try for a long time. For example, it could be Pilates, which you have been reading about for a long time, but did not dare to come to class. Or you've always wanted to go dancing, but you're still shy. Do something new and see how much emotion you get from it.
