Everyone knows that meditation helps to cope with stress. Recent research by scientists has proven that regular meditation practice is beneficial for the brain as well. We tell the details!

The cognitive ability of the brain declines with age - we begin to think more slowly and remember information less well. To learn how to slow down this process, scientists conducted a study, the results of which surprised everyone. “Just one hour of meditation a day - and your brain will work at its maximum even in adulthood,” - this is the conclusion of researchers from the University of California.
For seven years, they studied the effects of meditation on the brain and made sure that the participants in the experiment did the practice daily. According to the final survey, the majority had improvements in concentration and memory. The results were especially noticeable in the elderly participants of the study - the tests carried out showed that the cognitive functions of their brain during this time remained practically unchanged.
Other benefits of the Eastern practice have been known for a long time - meditation has been successfully used by doctors in the treatment of high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases and depression.
