BeautyHack columnist Tatyana Yakimova explains why a woman owes much more at 55 than at 30.

I was asked recently: what should a retired woman know? Except their rights are few.

It so often happens to read: ah, how good it is at the age when you finally understand that you don't owe anything to anyone !!

And the truth - and nonsense.

Here are the parents, old ones already. And grandchildren - who have - are still small. And the smaller brothers - dogs, cats, and some have chickens with piglets. And the house that I created, built, nurtured. This is a whole small country, and you are its queen, but what is the queen worth, who owes nothing to her country?

I also decided that I had to work to the last. And not because you can't live on retirement. Just for the drive.

In general, at 55 a woman owes much more than at 30, but it is easier for her. Quite according to Spinoza: freedom is a conscious necessity. I got what I wanted (or what I deserved is not always the same thing) and now I must take care of it. Your burden is not heavy!

And an adult woman should also set an example. Unobtrusive and unnoticeable. An example of tolerance, love of life, attitude towards people and work, healthy egoism and no less healthy curiosity about everything that happens.

Should she bear the dignity of her past years, like some academics?

No, it's still early.

Should she teach life to the younger generation?

Nuuuu, if asked. Although in my posts I may be trying to teach something. But it's like pies: I learned how to bake them - tell me how, but only on occasion. If you know how to be cheerful, beautiful, slim and quick in retirement - "share the recipe" when asked. For example, once a week on your favorite site!

And to make all this easy - she must be in shape!

At 55, the concept of good shape changes. It seems to be.

This is when I walked 3 km - and I wasn't tired.

I went up to the 5th floor - and breathing is fine.

I sat down and my knees didn't crack.

And also when you do not get annoyed over trifles and do not make a problem out of a slight inconvenience-failure-incident. In short, from all that previously seemed a universal misfortune. This is also a form.

But I want to concentrate on physiology after all.

Muscles. Vessels. Joints. Internal organs.

I am a good car, made conscientiously, I know myself, and last year's full examination showed. But I am already beginning to feel that I am slightly losing speed.

Not sleeping enough - weakness in the middle of the day.

Ate a lot - heaviness.

I sat at the tablet for half a day - my neck aches.

When you understand and feel this, the first reaction is: eh …

And the second: well, what did you want? Sleep is recovery. Gluttony is a sin (and harmful to beauty). Sitting a lot, and even in the same position, is generally not provided for by the human constitution. So you just realized the need for some vital things. It's good that it's not too late.

And you need to accept and follow the rules that you never thought about before.

But we all didn’t think about something before. At three years old - that you need to remove the cup and plate from the table yourself. At seven - that you need to go to school. Etc.

And for everything to work out, you need - and you should - understand something important.

Your body, which has served you faithfully, your arms and legs (and especially your neck) need increased attention. And by no means in a well-deserved rest - although being able to rest is also necessary.

Attention is work on yourself. The fight against laziness, which I talk about more often than some about the weather, and I will talk about. Because laziness turns women into aunts.

Sometimes this is difficult to understand, especially for those who have just worked all their lives, and maternal labor is no exception. How often I hear: behold, the children have grown, at last I will live for my pleasure! But for some reason, pleasure often turns out to be the exact opposite. For some, rest is more sleep, lounging, sitting on the couch watching TV or a computer, less doing household chores. They are already on their way to physical inactivity - dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, blood circulation, respiration, digestion, that is, the whole body, and this distance is rapidly decreasing.

Others do not lie around, but rush to the clinic to remove wrinkles, extra pounds and bags under the eyes.

Still others prove to the whole world that they are still in great shape, using the achievements of cosmetology plus young lovers, restaurants and clubs, short skirts and pink dresses. These are, in general, brave fighters, if not for one "but". Why prove something to others? You better prove to yourself that you are fit. That's more interesting. So wiser.

Form is your main capital, your best and main property. It is she who will allow you to fearlessly face time. It must be acquired and cherished - it will not work to buy, and by the way, sell it too..

You can still buy something from the field of beauty, but health and good shape are unlikely.

Of course, this should be understood optimally much earlier than in retirement. But if I didn't understand it earlier, now is the time.

It's never too late for a healthy lifestyle.

Even if you missed something, acquired some diseases - fight. Not for youth - for shape.
