Arm yourself with wipes, primer and fixative spray - with these products, makeup will leave you only on pain of removal with hydrophilic oil. Find other secrets of long-lasting makeup in our BeautyHack collection.
Prepare your skin
For makeup to be more lasting, the skin must be prepared for it. Start from its type and condition, but always rely on two main steps - cleansing and moisturizing. Here you need the notorious "golden mean": do not rub your skin with a scrub or apply the most powerful peeling roll in the collection - ordinary foam will be enough to remove dirt (the best options are here).

It is also important not to overdo it with hydration - if the skin is prone to oily, it is better to limit yourself to serum. Too dense moisturizer will not allow the foundation and other products to gain a foothold - the makeup will begin to "float" ahead of time.
Use a primer
If the use of a primer in everyday makeup seems like an extra step to you, but at the same time cosmetics on the face do not linger for a long time, reconsider your attitude to this tool. Those who are worried about oily shine should pay attention to matting makeup bases and apply them exclusively with fingertips, as if imprinting them into the skin.

But you should not use such products too often - there is a risk of dry skin. If it is of the dry type, it is better to use highlighting primers: they will not create a matte finish, but they will noticeably smooth the skin, which means that the foundation will hold better.
Blot excess with a napkin
If you do overdo it with moisturizing, arm yourself with a regular paper towel. Blot any excess cream that has not been absorbed into the skin and proceed with makeup.

The same can be done with an oil-based foundation. During the day, also use napkins, but special ones - matting. Believe me, it is better to get wet the "floated" foundation than to layering the product, making the makeup heavier.
Choose long-term products
So that there is nothing to blot, it is better to initially give preference to a non-oil-based foundation. For oily skin, tonal sticks marked "water resistant" are ideal - they don't care about sebum and sweat. For dry, it is better to choose fluids and apply them with a damp sponge or fingertips, hammering in.

But do not confuse the words "water resistant" and "waterproof": the first option is for oily skin, the second is for those who have a walk in the rain or a synchronized swimming tournament ahead. And, of course, loose powder will prolong the life of any foundation.
Use a make-up setting spray
Perhaps the easiest way to make makeup long lasting is to apply a fixing spray. If earlier these funds had only one task - to create a film on the skin so that the makeup does not "float" during the day, now sprays often act as a primer. Most of them contain caring ingredients, which means that at the same time you can soothe the skin, relieve redness, even out the complexion and even add radiance to it.

And the spray also saves when there is too much powder on the face - it literally "seals" it, creating the effect of a second skin. Many makeup artists advise using ordinary thermal water for this, but, alas, it will not affect the durability. But it can dry out the skin, drying out naturally.
