Even the most austere and rocky of us sometimes swap out bright dark lipstick for playful pink lip gloss. BeautyHack special correspondent Moore Soboleva tested nine cool options.

Rouge Coco Gloss, shade 728 Rose Pulpe, Chanel
This spring, the brand replaced its iconic Glossimer range with Rouge Coco Gloss, a light, non-sticky and generally more modern gloss. Rouge Coco Gloss has a new convenient applicator - not a classic one, but in the form of a hoof expanding downwards - and a tube shape familiar from the days of Glossimer. There are many pure colors in the new line, but there are also those that have the notorious “Chanel shimmer” - for example, Rose Pulpe, the small glitter of which gives the lips volume.

The Lipgloss, Pink Sapphire, Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana is a very maximalist brand: they love color, brightness and all the best at once, for which we appreciate the beautiful Sicilians. If desired, you can overlap your own lip shade with a dense gloss from The Lipgloss line, or you can shade it to transparency. Pink Sapphire balances between pink and purple, while the sparkles are blue and silver.

Lip Gloss, Super Orgasm, NARS
The Orgasm line, which François Nars tirelessly replenishes, is the most famous and best-selling brand in the range. She has her own spin-off in the form of the Super Orgasm series, which is more pigmented and shiny. The Super Orgasm gloss in the tube looks almost orange, but on the lips it turns out to be a perfect coral pink, which really refreshes the face and makes the look brighter - in fact, almost like a real orgasm.

Lacquer Stick, shade Diabolo, Dior
A new line of lovers of Dior hybrid formulas - the Lacquer Stick, which promises gloss like lip gloss and lipstick brightness. Dior lipsticks have always been successful, and Lacquer Stick turned out to be expectedly good: they turn out to be bright even in one layer, moisturize and are gentle on peeling. Lacquer Stick looks as if the pigment and components responsible for the smoothness of the lips have been levied in the classic Dior Addict - the coating of the lipstick is thin, but at the same time smooths the lips, like a dense gloss. Fuchsia Diabolo is one of the most beautiful (and popular).

Color Gloss, shade Siren, Delilah
I love everything that elegant English brand Delilah does - they get excellent basic products that are always at hand when it is not clear what to wear makeup. A dense and relatively bright pink shimmer without shimmer moisturizes well and shines like a mirror, but, as can be seen from our photo. can slightly emphasize peeling immediately upon application. Then, however, the gloss "shrinks" and is evenly distributed over the surface of the lips.

Lip Shine Gloss, 335 Nacre Rose, Wycon
A bit of a nostalgic thing - in the early 2000s, such transparent glitters with a scattering of small sparkles dominated the cosmetic bags of most fashionable girls. But, unlike the means of that time, this Wycon gloss fits perfectly, smoothing the relief, and the sparkles in it are small: they look elegant and do not feel at all in the wear. The product looks great both on its own and over lipstick.

Le Baume Liquid, shade 06, Yves Rocher
The new Yves Rocher line (released under the rather monstrous name “Virtuoso Radiance”) is a hybrid of glitters and caring balm - not a new idea, but always useful. Even more or less bright colors in the line actually give a light shade that can be applied without a mirror, and the modest pink 06 on the lips is almost invisible at all - perfect for bright eye makeup or just on days when you don't want brightness.

Lipstick, shade Charm (Glamorous), Lush
Technically, this is a liquid lipstick, not a gloss, but I decided to include it in the review - firstly, because of the unusual cold shade in the style of the London sixties, and secondly, because I consider Lush makeup to be unfairly overlooked. Glamorous has an interesting semi-matte finish and a complex color - these are usually very poorly applied, but Lush has managed to make the finish thin and even.

Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector, shade 04 Petal Shimmer, Clarins
One of the long-term bestsellers of Clarins (I bought the first Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector almost 10 years ago), which spawned a whole - and very cool - line of the same name. All Instant Lights are packaged in handy tubes with a soft applicator, all almost completely transparent and all perfectly moisturizing - perfect for on-the-go makeup as they can be applied literally anywhere without a mirror. And also, if you apply the product very thinly, it will make an excellent base for bright lipstick.
