Eating low-calorie foods and at the same time feeling full for a long time - seems almost an impossible task? Darya Vasilenko, ambassador for healthy food delivery service Grow Food, champion in fitness bikini, dispels the myth that low-calorie can not be satisfying, and shares five recipes that you can easily prepare at home.
Omelet with spinach and turkey
Caloric value: 300 kcal

This combination of products will surely satisfy you for several hours! Eggs themselves are extremely nutritious, and in combination with low-calorie turkey meat and light spinach, they are perfectly absorbed by the body. This dish is ideal as a breakfast, snack, or even dinner. Read a detailed recipe for a dietary omelet from a fitness bikini here.
Baked apple with Greek yogurt and cinnamon
Caloric value: 100 kcal

This snack will especially appeal to those with a sweet tooth! An apple itself contains only 50 kcal, and together with Greek yogurt or low-fat cottage cheese in baked form, apples will turn into a great dessert. To keep the apple from feeling too sour, add some honey and cinnamon to it.
Tomato with a slice of Parmesan cheese
Caloric content: 130 kcal

A very light snack that will satisfy your appetite quite well. Vegetables are, in principle, very low in calories, for example, a tomato contains only 20 kcal per 100 grams! But to fill up, combine with tomato slices with a slice of aromatic Parmesan cheese, which will add some calories. This dish can be consumed in the middle of the day, for example, between lunch and dinner.
½ lavash with hummus
Caloric value: 300 kcal

Another great option for a hearty snack is half pita bread with hummus. Both products are low in calories, so they go well together. Such a snack can be easily taken with you to work, school or even a walk with your child. Hummus contains vitamins B1, B2, B5, zinc, magnesium and potassium. And real fresh pita bread is able to regulate the level of a person's carbohydrate balance - it does not contain yeast, so the figure does not suffer from its use at all.
½ cup strawberries with low-fat yogurt
Caloric value: 120 kcal

Summer is coming, which means it's time for juicy berries and fruits! One of my favorites is, of course, strawberries. 100 grams of strawberries contain only 33 kcal! And this berry is also rich in vitamins A, B, C, fiber, iron and calcium. Together with light, low-fat yogurt, it makes the perfect duo to be your favorite breakfast in the coming months! Dangerous myths about berries can be found here.
