The most essential item in most cosmetics is not even mascara, but a concealer. Today we decided to pay attention to the area under the eyes: the special correspondent of BeautyHack and the owner of impressive dark circles, Moore Soboleva, has collected a dozen of camouflage products to solve this delicate problem. We tested the concealers on the tattoo of our photographer Asya Zabavskaya:

At the top, we applied the funds tightly, and blend the texture down.

Covermazing Magic Pen Concealer, shade 1, Holika Holika

The Korean brand has a lot of concealers (Asian women pay the most attention to their complexion in makeup); I tried only this one and it immediately became my favorite. Unlike many concealers in the brush, which turn out to be too translucent, Covermazing Magic Pen perfectly covers dark circles, despite the thinness of the coating - apparently due to the pink undertone.

Radiant Creamy Concealer, Vanilla, NARS

This concealer is loved all over the world, and along with it our chief editor Karina Andreeva - for a convenient applicator (like lip gloss), the ability to shade and density, which, however, can be varied. The Radiant Creamy Concealer has medium coverage, but is easy to lay up to a dense finish - even then it lays well. Karina says that concealer copes with circles under the eyes with a bang, holds firm until the evening and does not dry the skin.

Double Wear Brush-On Glow, shade 2C Light Medium, Estee Lauder

The ideological successor to the notorious YSL Touche Eclat is a twist-out highlighter concealer in a brush handle that can be used on all areas of the face where you need to add radiance urgently. The product is applied thinly - it will make really dark circles lighter and thus refresh the look, but will not completely cover them. But Brush-On Glow works well as a light highlighter.

Select Moisturecover, shade NW25, MAC

Select Moisturecover brand made especially for sensitive skin - it does not dry out and does not emphasize wrinkles. This concealer is suitable not only for the skin under the eyes, but also for the entire face - it is quite dense, but well distributed over the skin. After applying Select Moisturecover, allow a couple of minutes to shrink, and then even a serious layer will be minimally noticeable. The product has a semi-matte effect and impressive durability.

Éclat Lumière, shade 30 Beige Rose, Chanel

The cheerful salmon color seems very bright, but you don't need to be afraid of it. The product is remarkably distributed and surprisingly quickly merges even with very light skin: the warm shade neutralizes the blue under the eyes almost perfectly. There are reflective particles in Éclat Lumière, but they are extremely delicate - they are invisible even under direct light, so I would leave it exclusively for the eyes.

High Precision Retouch, shade 3.5, Giorgio Armani

Quiet hit: the brand has become famous for its tonal means, but for some reason its concealers sing a little praise. And High Precision Retouch is one of the most successful examples of the genre: a super-thin brush that is easy to apply even to hard-to-reach places, a flexible moisturizing texture and the right shimmer: very fine, creating an even shine and the “blur effect” that everyone loves.

Perfect Luminous Concealer, shade 2 Caramel, Dolce & Gabbana

Despite the fact that the Perfect Luminous Concealer is placed in a pen, it does not pretend to be a highlighter - it is a completely full-fledged concealer-concealer. Sufficiently dense and matte, despite the word Luminous in the name, it is good for the whole face, not just for the eyes, and very durable - moreover, water resistant. The brand also suggests using the product as a primer for eye and lip makeup.

Boi-ing Brightening Concealer, shade No.1, Benefit

This year Benefit re-released their line of concealers - now there are four, they are decorated in the same style (as they say, “everything is so rosy”) and each serves a specific purpose. The Brightening Concealer in a previous life was called Erase Paste and is designed specifically for the skin under the eyes - it brightens the skin and corrects its color with a warm peach undertone.

Illuminating Complexion Fix, shade 1N Porcelain, Veil Cosmetics

Little is known about the niche brand specializing in skin tone correction, but it is brought to Russia by the Petrovka Beauty clinic, whose choice I trust. Under the fingers, the texture of the concealer melts like butter and spreads just as well. The concealer perfectly evens out the texture of the skin and does not clog into wrinkles. It is thin as you can see in the photo, but it is easy to lay up, which makes it well suited for spot use all over the face.

Phyto-Cernes Éclat, Sisley

An expensive but cool concealer - a full-fledged care product, a cool metal tip, and a 15ml volume that's long lasting. The concealer comes with a separate brush, but it's convenient to apply straight from the tube and blend with your fingers. All shades have an apricot-pink undertone and remarkable density: you can eliminate the consequences of even the most stormy night.
