There is very little time left until the Met Gala 2018 - the annual Ball of the Costume Institute will begin tonight. In the meantime, the stars are preparing for the traditional "parade" on the red carpet, BeautyHack has collected the best beauty images in the history of the event.
The official year of birth of the Costume Institute Ball - aka Met Gala - is 1948. The event was invented by the socialite and fashion expert Elinor Lambert, but in those years everything went differently: instead of a red carpet and a show of the best outfits, there was an ordinary socialite dinner, a ticket to which could be bought for fifty dollars. Only in 1974, the format of the event, familiar to all of us, was determined, and in the 90s the Met Gala became stellar - along with the elite and people in love with fashion, celebrities began to come to the ball.
