The Capwells, DiCarlo, Halliwells and Gallaghers: BeautyHack highlights families from our favorite TV shows worth revisiting.
Capwells, "Santa Barbara"

The domineering rich man CC Capwell and his family became the protagonists of all 2137 episodes of the soap opera. By the way, in addition to them, other families were present in the series - the main "enemies" of Lockridge, Mexicans Andrade and representatives of the working class Perkins. And then everything goes according to tradition: the Perkins son is in love with the Capwells' youngest daughter Callie, CC's ex-wife is having an affair with Lockridge, and Andrade's daughter secretly gives birth to a son from Channing Capwell, who was killed by the Perkins. How it all ended - find out here.
And if you are already confused in the names, here are some dry statistics: in total, 13 Capwells appear in the series, who were played at different times by 28 actors and actresses. Impressive? We are very much.
Carringtons, "Dynasty"

The creators of the American prime-time soap opera were inspired by the confrontation between Montague and Capulet and transferred it to our time - or rather, to the 80s, because the first episode was released back in 1981. By the way, the series became so popular that it earned four spin-offs (one of them was released in 2017) and a full-length film.
In the center of the plot is the confrontation between two wealthy families (one Carrington - ten people), owning the largest oil companies, but the cause of the conflict is not business interests, but personal relationships. As a result, the authors of the series managed to create a kind of cocktail of drama, melodrama, detective and sometimes even comedy.
Di Carlo, "Wild Angel"

We were so carried away by the love story of Milagros and Ivo that sometimes we did not notice what passions are simmering in Di Carlo's house. The father of the Federico family all this time knew that Ivo was not his son, so he could not love him as his own. Ivo and Veronica's mother tried to drown out the pain from an unsuccessful marriage with alcohol, and their grandmother completely declared herself a recluse, due to the fact that Federico betrayed the only one whom she truly loved. But the main thing we remember is that the orphan Millie turned out to be Di Carlo, everyone found out the truth, and in the very last episode Milagros and Ivo got married.
And to find out if you are like Milagros or not, take our special test.
Gallagers, "Shameless"

Unlike soap operas about the rich and the intricacies of their destinies, Shameless tells a completely different story - how to survive in poverty and remain happy at the same time. The main characters are the Gallagher family, led by their father Frank, a loser, alcoholic and drug addict. The eldest daughter Fiona took over the upbringing of the children. The problems of Lip, Ian, Debbie, Karl and younger Liam (as well as her own, of course) she has to solve in every episode. Judging by the fact that the producers are already preparing the ninth season of the series, Fiona is doing well.
Ferras, "The Clone"

Even fans of the series remember the name of the protagonist Lucas (and the clone Leo) with difficulty - their sad brown eyes are much better remembered. But it is with the Ferras family that the whole "mess" begins - the twins Lucas and Diogo, together with their father Leonidas Ferras, go to Morocco, where one brother falls in love with the beautiful Jadi for life, and the other makes a fatal mistake and soon gets into a plane crash.
As a result, Zhadi marries the Muslim Said, and Lucas marries the ex-girlfriend of the deceased Diogo - Maize. How it all ends, you probably remember - even after many years, the main characters will not stop loving each other and will eventually be together. In the meantime, Lucas and Jadi secretly meet under sad Brazilian songs, the Ferras family grows: Leonidas' granddaughter Mel gives birth to a son, Shandi Jr., who is destined to continue the Ferras family.
Ewingie, Dallas

The series "Dallas" is often compared to "Dynasty", and here's why: in the center of the plot again two warring families engaged in oil production. Two but: "Dallas" appeared earlier - back in 1978, and the Ewing family has its own family tree on Wikipedia, while the Carringtons do not. It is physically impossible to retell the plot of all 14 seasons, but one thing we remember - it was “Dallas” who introduced the fashion for cliffhangers (in a simple way - open endings), for which many thanks to him. And additional fame was brought to the soap opera by the ninth season, and in which all the action takes place in an alternative universe. Not bad for the 80s?
Halliwell, Charmed

Eight years, eight seasons and 178 episodes - despite its length and, let's face it, the slight absurdity of recent seasons, "Charmed" is still in our hearts. The history of the good Halliwell witches was followed by millions of people around the world - they fell in love with Cole Turner, learned spells by heart and cried when Prue died. And there are at least eight people in the Halliwell family, including the Grams grandmother, the charmed mother Petty, and the children Piper and Leo, who appear in the series from the fifth to the eighth season.
Harpers, "Two and a Half Men"

The Harper clan is small, but no less memorable from this - although hardly anyone expected from the series with the title "Two and a Half Men" complex intricacies of the plot and a large list of characters. But the cast of the sitcom is an A-plus, because the main roles were played by Charlie Sheen, John Cryer, Angus Jones, and later Ashton Kutcher.
In the story, a bachelor and womanizer Charlie Harper decides to shelter his brother Alan with his son, as he is going through a difficult divorce. Alan tries to be like his brother in everything and constantly gets into trouble. At the end of season 9, after the scandal, the producers decided to "kill" Charlie Sheen - despite the fact that Kutcher replaced him, the series lost its popularity.
Crowley, "Downton Abbey"

What does watching the British TV series "Downton Abbey" give us? First, we learn about the life of the high society and the working class of old England. Secondly, we become witnesses of technical progress - we see how electricity, telephones and cars appear in the everyday life of the heroes. And thirdly, we admire the already familiar and beloved actors from "Harry Potter" and "Game of Thrones". The focus is on the Crowley family, led by Earl Grantham, his mother, wife and daughters.
In addition to the usual life problems, the heroes are going through the First World War, the Spanish flu epidemic and the first wave of female emancipation - perhaps that is why "Downton Abbey" entered the Guinness Book of Records as "the most talked about television series".
Ottomans, "The Magnificent Age"

Neither the Capwells nor the Ewingies could compete with this clan - after all, the Ottoman family is seven centuries old. And the series tells about the most magnificent of them - the century of the reign of Sultan Suleiman. The story begins with the raid of the Crimean Tatars and the capture of the Slavic beauty Alexandra - in the future, the Sultan will make her the only legitimate wife, violating Muslim traditions. But the family will not be limited to them - after all, in addition to Alexandra, Suleiman has hundreds of concubines, four sisters and six children.
