With a vast experience working with celebrities behind him, world-renowned makeup artist Bobby Brown willingly talks about how to do everyday make-up correctly and what skin care products should not be neglected.
Skin care

- Be sure to cleanse your face twice a day using a facial wash. Only a product with a gel texture is able to qualitatively cleanse the skin from traces of makeup.
- Before applying decorative products, be sure to take care of your face skin. Apply a light moisturizing lotion on normal skin; for dry skin, use a moisturizer or balm. And the ideal makeup base for oily skin is oil-free. They simultaneously moisturize and control the sebaceous glands.
- Be sure to apply cream around the eyes and face before using concealer. Thanks to them, the concealer will lay down easily and create the effect of smooth, velvety skin.
- Use SPF-protected products daily. Exposure to ultraviolet radiation leads to premature aging of the skin. In winter, a moisturizer with SPF 15 is a great option, and if you plan to be outdoors for a long time, apply a cream with SPF 25.
- For a healthy-looking complexion, apply SPF 35 CC cream underneath your foundation. It will simultaneously protect the skin and correct its tone.
Caring for the skin around the eyes

- Every girl should have three products in her arsenal: concealer, mascara and blush. A light layer of concealer under the eyes helps hide dark circles and freshens the face.
- When choosing a concealer, look for products with a creamy texture and yellow undertone. It should be one tone lighter than your skin.
- Apply regular face powder to your eyelids before using the eyeshadow. This technique will help fix shadows that will not roll down during the day.
- Apply concealer or concealer with your fingers.
Tonal basis

- Match foundation to match your skin tone. It should emphasize the natural complexion, not create a new one.
- Before you buy a foundation, try applying a few different tones to your skin in natural light. Choose a lighter and darker shade and apply them from the cheek to the jaw line. Your choice should be a more invisible foundation on the face. Another way to test if a product is right for you is to apply it to your forehead. Here, the skin tends to be darker.
- Powder should be applied over concealer, foundation and blush. This product should be the finishing touch to your makeup.
Lips

- The safest option is a lipstick color that is slightly brighter than your natural shade. It will never go out of style!
- Nude lipstick shades make the look more elegant. To find the right nude, rely on your natural lip color.
- If bright lipstick shades are not for you, use a rich lip liner. Create your own shade by mixing crayon color with your favorite nude or brown lipstick. Another option is to apply a regular balm, and then paint over the entire surface of the lips with a pencil.
- If your goal is to get the perfect shimmery lip shade, go for cherry or purple-red gloss.
- In order to make a bright lipstick more long-lasting, first apply a pencil that matches the color of your lips.
- Red shades of lipsticks with a blue undertone visually brighten the teeth.
- Do not match lipstick to the color of your clothes or nail polish - this technique has long been outdated.
- In summer, feel free to experiment with orange, pink, or coral, but use a shimmery lipstick or lip gloss for a lighter look.
- It is very important to create the right balance between lip and eye makeup. Focusing on the bright lipstick shade, limit yourself to applying natural eye shadow and black mascara.
Eyebrows

- The size of the eyebrows should match the proportions of the face. If you have small features, make your brows thinner. Girls with a sporty physique can afford more voluminous wide lines, giving them a deliberately casual look.
- Match eyebrow shadows to match your hair color. With dark colors, shades of mahogany or smoky will look good, while charcoal and rich black will add extra aggressiveness to the image.
Eyes

- In order to visually reduce the size of the eyes, go over the shadows along the lower lash line. Choose eyeshadow a couple of shades lighter than what you use on your eyelids.
- Use lighter shadows as a base for darker ones. Apply them all over the eyelids, from the lash line to the eyebrows.
- A creamy eyeliner can smudge if not secured with eye shadow or powder.
- The perfect way to turn daytime makeup into evening makeup is with smoky eyes. Opt for a highly pigmented pencil with a creamy texture for a smoky finish.
- Another way to draw attention to your eyes is to apply a chocolate shade to your eyelids. And complement the makeup with powder and shine of pink or raspberry colors.
Brushes and other tools

- Don't skimp on makeup brushes. Really high quality brushes will serve you for a very long time. Just remember to wash them with liquid soap every three months, rubbing well with a towel.
- Multifunctional tools ideal for travel. You can always find concealer, foundation and a good moisturizing balm in my makeup bag. The latter is always applied to the lips and cuticles on the plane.
